Newsletter 19 - Fulwell Infant School
The Newsletter of Fulwell Mrs Angus’s message... Infant School Academy Number 19 4th July 2014 Dear parent, As I know you are aware, Ofsted were in school this week, in amongst Sports Week, Infantasia, the Empire dance and a whole host of other activities. The children were praised for their happiness, commitment, attitude and behaviour. In yesterday’s assembly, we shared this with them as we were asked to by the team. Thank you to the many parents who spoke to the inspectors and to the staff for managing an extremely stressful week without the children noticing it. As the summer break is almost upon us, the report and outcome will not be available until September. At the Empire, year 2 dancers openend the second half, performing brilliantly. They were very privileged as it was organised so they could watch the first half in the slipper. I was very envious as I have never managed this myself! Year 2 children sang beautifully at Infantasia yesterday—well done Eve and Lara as the highest notes were almost impossible to reach. Daniel’s performance was amazing and his enjoyment very apparent. Thank you children we were very proud of you. Today Year 2 children all travelled to Hartlepool. There was even the odd pirate who seemed to have sneaked into the crew! Last week, the children enjoyed Africa week, experiencing a range of the arts—drumming, dance, drama culminating in the visit from the Lions of Zululand. Best wishes Wendy Angus STRIKE ACTION CLASSES IN: Nursery Class 9 Class 8 Class 6 CLASSES OUT Class 1 Class 2 Class 3 Class 4 Class 5 Class 7 Packed lunches are needed for all children who stay for lunch!
