From the President's Desk...
Dear Alpha Phi Sisters,
It was wonderful to see so many of you at the fall meetand-greet parties. For those I haven't had a chance to
meet yet, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is
Geneen Pipher-Boyd. I will be serving as president of
the Northwest Houston Alpha Phi Alumnae chapter for
the next biennium.
I am a fairly recent addition to the chapter, having
attended my first meeting in 2010. In this short
amount of time, I've been privileged to be a part of this
amazing group of women.
In June, I had the opportunity to attend the Alumnae
Chapter Academy at the Executive Office in Evanston,
Illinois. Chapter presidents from all across the nation
shared ideas and formulated goals for the coming year.
The leaders I met with were impressed with all our
chapter has accomplished since its founding in the mid-
why wait? Check out our calendar of events and come out
and see us. I highly recommend stopping by our annual
Christmas party on Wednesday, December 5 (see enclosed
calendar for details!). We will ring in the holiday season
with dinner, drinks and dessert, as well as our hilarious
"rob your neighbor" ornament exchange. Wear red (for
heart health!) and bring an ornament -- we'll do the rest!
As a member of our alumnae group, you will nurture longstanding friendships and discover new ones. You will
enjoy social events, networking opportunities, community
involvement and, above all else, fun with women from all
over the nation who share a common bond.
Even if you can't attend every event, we hope you will
support the Northwest Houston Chapter by becoming a
member of our group. If you have any ideas for events or
questions about our group, I would love to hear from you.

One of my goals as president is to cultivate vibrant,
active satellite groups within our larger chapter. In
addition to our regular events and parties, we will host
informal "Hottie Tottie" events (like happy hours and
painting parties) in each of our three main "hubs" -Champions, Cypress and The Woodlands. These
events will help us get to know sisters in our immediate
area and keep us even more connected to Alpha Phi.

Are You a Hottie Tottie?
Our Hottie Tottie events are fun, informal get-togethers of local Alpha Phis. We're talking painting parties,
happy hours and cool cooking demonstrations.
Throughout the year we will send out information on our Hottie Tottie events. No pressure. Nothing to bring
and nothing to make. Just come out and have fun! Meet new friends or catch up with old ones.
We're planning an event at Viking Cooking School. We'll be having a painting party in January. And more to
come. And if there something you think would make an awesome event, let us know -- it could be our next
Hottie Tottie party! ™
