The council was formed on the campus of Howard University on May 10, 1930. The
stated purpose and mission of the collective in 1930 was “Unanimity of thought and
action as far as possible in the conduct of Greek letter collegiate fraternities and sororities, and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations.” The
council became an incorporated organization in 1937.
The council was chartered in Montgomery County MD approximately October 1975.
The council sponsors county wide events that promote community service, academic
excellence, professional development, and cultural support and enrichment.
Mark your calendars: National Pan-Hellenic Council of Montgomery County MD
Chapter will be holding their annual plan of action meeting on Thursday, June 4, 2015.
Please plan to come out with ideas for upcoming year activities.
“We exist to facilitate the agreement of thought and action for Historically Black
Greek Letter organizations; address issues of mutual interest; and
empower the Montgomery County Maryland community”

Dear Fellow Greeks:
On behalf of the Loudoun County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
(LCAC), I am writing to invite the members of your chapter to participate in the 4th Annual Crimson Step Explosion being held on Saturday, November 14, 2015. LCAC is honored to host the
ONLY Greek step show in Loudoun County for the fourth year in a row!
We invite the members of your organization to not only attend this event but we encourage your
Step Team to enter the competition and showcase their skills in a 10-minute presentation along this
year’s theme “Stepping Into the Future”. This year, collegiate, graduate and/or mixed level teams
will compete for a $2,000 Grand Prize (top scoring team) and cash prizes for first place
(Sorority) and first place (Fraternity). The registration/entry fee for each Step Team is $50. All
registration forms, signed agreements, and entry fees must be received by no later than Monday,
October 5, 2015.
We are also excited to announce that national radio personality and Brother of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Adimu Colon is returning to host the show. Tickets for the step show are $20 in
advance and $25 at the door and can be purchased on our website at www.lcacdst.org. Information
on the After-Party will be announced at a later date. LCAC DST is excited to offer reduced priced
tickets for youth and those will be available at the door as well.
In addition to the step competition, our guests will be able to peruse the LCAC Marketplace
which will feature Greek paraphernalia vendors, refreshments and information about community
services in and around Loudoun County. We will have a table for other organizations to promote
various events so please feel free to bring any flyers/announcements you want to share.
We would also like to extend a complimentary ticket to the show for your Chapter President or
their designee. Additionally, we would like to offer each Loudoun County Greek President an opportunity to sit as a judge for the show if your chapter does not enter the competition.
If your chapter would like to step, please let us know so that we can have another member of your
organization, from another Northern Virginia chapter, serve as a judge. Be sure to confirm your
desire to redeem your complimentary ticket to the Chair of LCAC’s Crimson Step Explosion
Suhailah Stevenson ([email protected]).
The proceeds raised at LCAC’s Annual Crimson Step Explosion will support various public service
projects, initiatives and scholarships benefitting the Loudoun County community.
For any additional information about this event, or to register your team, please e-mail us at
[email protected].
