DJ Craig D
DJ Craig D has been spinning records since 1996. It all started
with R.E.L. Entertainment & doing a few parties downtown
Chicago, and the BBQs & Basketball tournaments in Elgin, IL. to
comedy shows with comedian Deray back when he got started.
From there he went on to become the top DJ at NIU (Northern
Illinois University) after being discovered by the members of
Alpha Phi Alpha & Phi Beta Sigma. He went on to DJ at NIU, U
of I (Illinois), SIU, Ill State, Kentucky State, Loyola, UIC, Chicago
State, and more for party promoters and organizations such as
Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Phi Beta Sigma, Zeta Phi
Beta, Sigma Gamma Rho, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi,
Delta Sigma Theta, NAACP, BSU, BSA, and many more. He
also hosted a radio show on WKDI called Flava In Ya Ear during
2000 & 2001.
In 2003 he became the weekly DJ for comedian Deray at
Riddles Comedy club & worked with comedians such as Deray,
Leon Rogers, Lil Rel, Katt Williams, Dolemite, Wildcat, Meechie,
Shawn Morgan, Cedric The Entertainer, Tyler Craig, Marlon
Mitchell, Damon Williams, Pierre, Corey Holcomb, Deon Cole,
and many many more. DJ Craig D & DJ Dolla Bill are probably
the 2 Chi-town DJs to have been the DJ of choice at more
comedy shows in the Chicago area than any other DJs.
He is also the 2009 NIU DJ Battle Champion, and has opened
up for hip hop/R&B acts such as Afrika Bambatta, Ludacris,
Twista, Ciara, Juelz Santana, Shyne, Drake, Buffie The Body,
Jeremih, Do Or Die, Jennifer Hudson, Ben 1, and more.
In 2005 he also opened up a nightclub called Club 122 in
Dekalb, IL near NIU. It is now called Krystals Ultra Lounge.
