The Sustainability Committee for the Department
of Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services
hosted a video contest and film festival in November called Live. Life. Green.
The event was designed to give students the opportunity to explore the sustainable practices that
the department already follows as well as the ways
in which students can participate in making their
living space more sustainable.
Four entries were judged at the film festival Nov.
9. Prizes included bookstore gift cards and sustainable items such as reusable water bottles
and up-cycled notebooks.
First place was Brian Schwabauer from
Woods House for a video titled “Green
Police.” Second Place was Nich Peltz
from Wells House for a video titled
“Environ-MENTAL!” Third place
went to Katherine Miller, Dalton
Reeves, and Sarah Head for “Live
Life Green.” Fourth place was
Aubrey Snedecker and Whitney Davis from Freddy
House.
