For staff and students, we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The days are longer, the weather is nicer and we have come to the end of another fantastic school year. With the end of the year, comes change and we begin with staffing. Mrs. Stephanie Aitken will be leaving our school community to join Strathmore High School in their Biology department. Mr. Clyde Molloy is retiring at the end of the month! Finally, Mrs. Amy Stromgren will be leaving us for the B.C. coast! We wish these fine staff members good luck in the next journeys of their lives. May God watch over them and give them guidance as they travel along these new pathways. We look forward to welcoming new staff and leading our current staff on our educational journeys. Mrs. Amanda Landry will also be returning to Kindergarten in the fall and we can’t wait to have her back. Enclosed in this newsletter you will find our school calendar, which is full of important dates; the exam schedule for students in grades 6 to 12; our salute to our upcoming Graduation Class and next year’s school calendar. Please note there are 4 student dismissal days that do not match PRSD. This means students will not be attending school, but teachers will have Professional Development on those days. As we prepare for the years end, please encourage your child to stay focused, prepare for their exams (if necessary) and enjoy the remaining weeks. While we may all look forward to the summer’s vacation, it can be a long time– especially if we are disconnected from friends and out of our school-day routines. Check out the summer reading program at the library (grades K to 6) as well as the Arch-Diocese Youth Camps in August. Take time to rest and we hope to see you all refreshed and ready for September!! Sanders June is certainly a lovely month as the poem above says. The longer days, warm sun, all contribute to the beauty of June. June is also a month of celebrations; weddings, fathers, graduations. June is also the month that marks the beginning of summer; or specifically summer vacations. Vacations are wonderful things. A time to rejuvenate, bond with family and friends, and, of course, to rest. The great thing about rest is that God actually commands us to do it. It’s not a suggestion. So many times throughout Sacred Scripture God speaks upon how vital it is to rest. God desires us to rest because it shows that we care about the mind and body He gave us. So this summer my prayer for you is that you all get the rest you deserve. Enjoy your time with family and friends and may God’s grace and blessings be with you on all of your journeys. ~ Laura Tapson~ ~CONFIRMATION~ Celebrating their Confirmation this past weekend, Back row L-R Josef Przybylski, Daniel Stevenson, Tyren Heck, Archbishop Pettias, Tyler Desbien, Sofia Sacchieri, Raniel Molenilla, Miss Mulvaney Front row Fr.Nel, Hanz Fabellon, Declan Johnson, Jennifer Verbicky, Sydney McCormick, Ryananda Swim fishy swim….
