Looking back, all of us should be proud of what we have accomplished. We have transformed the campus both literally and figuratively. We have become an integral part of the school; involved in every facet from long range planning, facilities, faculty and staff support to programmatic enhancements. You have shared your ideas and given us your time, talent and financial support all with the mindset of making us a better institution, always aspiring for excellence. There is much more to come..... 1 Twenty years of superb science Our Alumni Arts & Science Center facilities allow our students to take top slots in the annual Oesper Chemistry competition Built in collaboration with Cincinnati Public Schools •CPS investment: $500,000 • WHHS Alumni Foundation investment: $13,000,000 1 in 4 incoming seventh graders do not know how to swim Natatorium • WHHS Alumni Foundation investment: $1,000,000 •Walnut Hills remains unique in requiring 7th grade students to pass a semester of swimming The natatorium was used for the Fleetwood Mac video, Gold Dust Woman. Fitness Center • WHHS Alumni Foundation investment: $250,000 •Physical Education uses it as part of their curriculum 90+ sports teams train year-round in the center Sulsar Avenue Terraces • WHHS Alumni Foundation investment: $240,000 •Collaborated with the Class of 1961, who contributed an additional $100,000 for courtyard furnishings both here and the new plaza area The outdoor terraces expanded lunchroom capacity by 400+ students 2 steadfast pursuit Christopher South Athletic Complex In the first season, 400+ studentathletes • W HHS Alumni Foundation investment: $1,800,000 •Soccer, lacrosse, football outside; batting cages and fencing in the building practiced and played on the new field The Nuts!, the WHHS robotics team supported by the WHHS Alumni Foundation, placed The Fine Arts, academic tutoring, clubs and extracurriculars • W HHS Alumni Foundation average annual investment: $100,000 3rd in the World Robotic Tournament, May 2015.
