HOW TO USE THIS AUDIO GUIDE
The Slice of History portion of the guide (Tracks 1-7) will fill gaps in your
knowledge, to enhance your appreciation of Signorelli’s remarkable frescoes in
San Brizio Chapel. Enjoy it in advance of your actual or virtual visit to the
Duomo di Orvieto.
The On-Site portion of the guide begins on Track 8. Your visit will take 1¼
hours, if you end your tour with Track 19. However, if you prefer a more indepth discussion of the secondary frescoes on the lower level of the walls, at
the beginning of Track 19 you will be directed to skip forward to Appendix 1.
Choosing this option will add 30 minutes to the duration of your on-site visit.
ON-SITE IN ORVIETO ~ To avoid disappointment, do check the open hours of
the Cathedral before your visit. Keep in mind that, in addition to the time
you’ll need in the San Brizio Chapel, you’ll want time to enjoy the other art
treasures in the Duomo.
