General Summary:
This school for Grades 7 through 9 was originally built in Edmonton in 1960. The school faces four streets - 94B
Avenue on the North, Ottewell Road on the East, 94 Avenue on the South and 73 Street on the West. It is under the
jurisdiction of Edmonton School District No. 7. The current student enrollment is 766.
The original 5,270.60 square metres school was built in 1960. An addition of 1,416.30 square metres was built in
1973. Total building area is 6,686.90 square metres. Major renovations / upgrading completed in the past includes,
fire code upgrading (1992), new Computer Rooms (1994), Library upgrading (1994), new corridor flooring (1998) and
complete re-roofing (1999 and 2001). Both 1960 Original Building and the 1973 Addition were modernized in 2003.
Room No. Indicated in this report is based on the Edmonton School Board Plans.
ABC Group A Division 2 - School. The 1960 Original Building is a single storey. The 1973 Addition is a single storey.

Mechanical Summary:
The four ventilation systems were upgraded in 2004 and are in good condition. The heating system upgraded to hot
water in 2006. Minor recommended upgrades include upgrading of plumbing fixtures.
Overall rating is acceptable (4).
Electrical Summary:
The school was modernized in 2004. A 1200A, 120/208V, 3 phase, 4 wire service has been provided and is obtained
from a pad mounted transformer. All lighting is fluorescent and is of the energy efficient type with T8 lamps and
electronic ballasts. The fire alarm system is of the addressable type and is the product of Simplex, Model 4100U. Call
system is the product of Bogen and is complete with telephones in each classroom. Overall, the electrical systems are
in good condition.
