safes come with a Palusol Intumescent
Door Seal. When the intumescent
seal is exposed to high temperature
(above 250ºF), it expands to as much
as 8 times its original thickness. This provides a
strong positive seal between the door and body,
preventing heat influx.

Overall thickness of door is 6” and is constructed
with a 3” defense barrier of outer and inner
steel plates creating a single structure enclosing
a unique, high density fire and burglary resistant
composite material.
The RF6528 formed body has a total protective
thickness of 3½” enclosing a high density fire
resistant composite material with nuggets and
steel fibers.
2 Stage Dual fire seals with silicone seal on door
jamb and expandable Palusol™ seal on door.
A reinforced drill resistant door frame protects
the door and each individual bolt chamber from
severe side attacks.
Group 2M Lock is protected by a proprietary

proprietary fill material
called DryLight, which offers
exceptional fire protection
without adding excess weight.
This superior fire protection
was confirmed at Intertek, the
industry’s leading independent
laboratory for gun safe fire
testing. When analyzing the
fire performance of competitive
safes, be sure to weigh reports
from independent laboratories
against unverified factory testing.
During fire testing, Intertek
kept our BF Gun Safes in
their test oven for two hours.
Within 8 minutes, the furnace
temperature was raised to
1200° F, and that temperature
was maintained for the
remainder of the two-hour
test. This method is consistent
with the UL-72 fire test curve.
Typical house fires only reach
temperatures of 1100° F. A safe
is considered to have failed this
test if temperatures exceed
350°F anywhere in the safe. Our
safe passed the test as internal
temperatures never exceeded
325° F during the two hours of
testing. Paper typically starts to
ignite at 450° F.

turn your room into a security center. It is designed for easy installation
that retrofits a standard 80” x 30” or 80” x 36” opening. Make your vault
room double as a storm shelter with our in-swing vault door. Offering
the same features as our standard vault door, the in-swing vault door will
insure opening from the inside even if debris has blocked the door.
