Nestling in the heart of Highland Perthshire surrounded by
lochs, rivers and glens is Blair Castle, the ancient seat of the
Dukes & Earls of Atholl.
Blair Castle is a regal venue that offers an inspiring range
of rooms, opulent backdrops, romantic interiors and the most
spectacular of gardens in which to celebrate your wedding.
Each bride and groom brings their own personal touches
and the rooms can be combined in a variety of different ways

Perfect in any season
Blair Castle and its surrounding landscape provide the perfect location for your
wedding at any time of the year.
The Castle’s beautiful interiors provide a fabulous backdrop for your wedding
photography, and the views from the windows are equally stunning whatever time
of year you choose - be it Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter.
The breath-taking Highland colours range from the fresh greens of Spring and
Summer to the golden tapestry of Autumn and the shimmering white of Winter.
Any of these provide an exceptional backdrop to your perfect moment in history.
State Dining Room
Located on the first floor of the Castle is the Georgian styled State
Dining Room which can accommodate wedding ceremonies and
drinks receptions for up to 140 guests, followed by the Wedding
Breakfast in the Ballroom.
For more intimate receptions where dancing is not required, the
State Dining Room can accommodate between 24 and 50 guests.
Alternatively, use of the State Dining Room can be combined with
hire of the Banvie Hall, providing a space for dancing after your meal.

Castle Gardens
On the ground floor of the Castle the majestic Victorian Ballroom built by the
7th Duke of Atholl continues to be the chosen venue for ceremony, dinner and
dancing in a truly Scottish setting.
Should you prefer a less traditional setting for your wedding ceremony,
Blair Castle is at the hub of a designed landscape which encompasses some 2,500
acres (1,000 hectares) within an estate of over 145,000 acres (58,725 hectares).
With its excellent acoustics, modern lighting system, stage and fine dance floor,
you and your guests can enjoy true Scottish hospitality at its best.
Amongst the variety of options the Estate has to offer is Hercules Garden.
The walled enclosure incorporates landscaped gardens, ponds and plantings
which provides a breathtaking backdrop for an outdoor wedding celebration.
The Ballroom can comfortably seat up to 220 people, and yet is still welcoming
and intimate enough to seat 80, guaranteeing to leave you and your guests with
an everlasting impression of your special day.
Adjoining the Ballroom and accessible via a “secret” door, the Banvie Hall with
its glass wall frontage provides a fine view of the magnificent grounds of the
castle and of the surrounding hills.
The locations are endless from St. Brides Kirk and Diana’s Grove to the Whim
or even the heather clad hills that surround Blair Castle.
