Senior Bills vs. Jets
The Bills started the 2010 season off with a bang with an all-around tremendous effort against the Jets. The Bills used
their speed, hustle and determination to round out a truly impressive performance on offense, defense and special teams
for a victory. Tyler ‘Slick” Weyman led the way with the “trifecta” a TD run, perfectly executed run and catch from a nice
pass from Kyle Popok and finished off the day with a long punt return TD. Erik Fleischer electrified the sideline on a long
run and catch from Clayton Eiberg to secure the win. Even though the Bills line was undersized, the blocking up front
was solid all day from Mike Henzgen, Mike Noack, and Chance “The Rock” Smith.
The defense pitched a shutout against a formidable Jets squad. The most impressive stat of the day – 8 bills defenders
had at least three flags!! Leading the way in first every CYFFA game was first year player Caleb “Animal” Harris with 9
flags, Chance, Clayton and Aaron chipped in with 4 flag pulls. Team Captain Kyle Popok had a solid day on defense
and made an amazing touchdown saving interception to setup a TD. Josh Rogers, Aaron “The Energizer” O’Brien, and
Troy Shillington turned in great defensive efforts, support on offense and solid play on special teams. In the end, the Bills
stuck true to their motto “Play Hard, Play Fast, and Play Smart …. Have Fun”.

Senior Bills vs. Jets
Senior Jets Battle Against the Senior Bills
Senior Jets came out strong. The defensive struggle began in the first quarter. The Bills were tough
and on the immediate attack. Although the Jets were eager and ready for play, with only ten players
strong often playing both sides of the ball made for a very difficult four quarters. The Jets were so
close but the Bills charged ahead and by half time took the lead 14-0.
The Jets defense executed well in the second half. Erickson had a couple impressive runs, Madden
held the offense with a sack and a few of flags. All Jets players were called to defend and did their
very best. Shoemaker played both offense and defense and was the up power runner for the Jets.
Edwards and Perry held their positions strong. Roche played his corner position and protected it well.
Hasserjian captured eight flags and scored a safety for the mighty Jets. Pereira managed the
offensive line with great control. Our newest member to the Jets, Simon made positive yards and did
well on Special Teams. Kerr added pressure against the Bills on both offense and defense. Great
effort Jets & Congratulations to the Bills. Final Score 28-2.

The Colts got off to a fast start with two quick touchdowns, behind the running and passing of Matt
Soule and key catch by Jordan Prechac. But the Raiders stormed back with three thouchdowns of
there own taking a 18-16 lead in the 3rd quarter. Key catches by Mason McElvain, Andrew Soule
and Connor LeGore helped the Colts move down the field on their last drive. Evan Assalley, Patrick
Curtis and Jordan Zavala help control the middle of the line. Matt Soule ran in from the 10 for the
Colts 3rd score. Chad Vreeland was the key on a 4th and one stop which heklped the Colts keep the
Raiders offense from picking up a key first down. Other defensive stops were turned in by Nick
Morgan, Josh Sobotka and Hudson Pope.

The Bills started the season off with a win over a very tough opponent in the Giants. The Giants were
a very big, strong team, but on this day the Bills were up for the task. QB Chris Lymberopolus, who
scored two touchdowns, credited his offense line, Levon Lang, Nick Gougas, Oscar Medrano and
Mathew Guevara, for making some big blocks against the Giants physical, defensive line. The game
was very close all day until late in the second half. The Bills defense did a great job containing a
good running team in the Giants. Ryan Buto led the team in flag pulls and brother Kenny sealed the
victory with an interception late in the game. It was a great team effort. All the Bills players played
and all the Bills players played well. All the coaches and parents were very proud of the Bills efforts.

When the Chargers and Raiders matched up on opening day, it was a low-scoring defensive battle
from the beginning. During the 2nd quarter the Chargers marched the ball down the field with several
good runs. However, the Raiders stopped the charge at 4th and inches and the ball changed
possession at the 5 yard line. The tenacious Charger defense then answered by holding the Raiders
and forcing them to punt. Chargers had a great 40 yard punt return but ran out of time before they
could score to end the half at 0-0. One big play by the Raiders in the 3rd quarter produced the only
score of the game as they ran it up the middle for a 40 yd touchdown. The Charger defense stopped
the conversion. Despite the Chargers coming within 5 yards of a touchdown again in the 4th quarter,
the Raiders were triumphant with a final score of Raiders-6 Chargers-0.
