Posted 03/31/2011 Worship Facilities Magazine is excited to announce a new launch with the Mar/Apr 2011 edition--WF Designer-a magazine targeted specifically to house of worship architects, designers and builders. If you're a pastor subscriber to WFM, you'll be able to see WF Designer's digital edition--available online at www.wf-designer.com. And if you're an architect, designer or builder, you'll receive WF Designer riding alongside the magazine in a plastic polybag. Either way you come across the introductory publication, we want to know what you think. WF Designer launches as a 16-page supplement, where inside readers will find a profile of Surprise, Ariz.'s Parkway Christian Church, a contemporary gathering place perched out in the desert sand, described from the perspective of an architect, Principal Paul Ladensack with Phoenix's CCBG Architects. Ladensack entertains space, volume, form and flow in ways that probably only architects truly consider. Yet he also talks about working with the project's pastor, Trent Renner, a man of God with a vision for how best to reach people in his geographic locale. He also addresses how, as an architect, he combined various methods of design in realizing an architectural model and communicating it to Renner and church staff. And lastly, Ladensack goes into detail about items such as materials and building methods--elements that speak volumes to the builders who work closely with designers. WFM also asked Ladensack to speak about the products used in CCBG's design for Parkway Christian. Of the hundreds of items and materials spec'd, which ones stood out to him as absolute winners in the church environment? Here you'll find items ranging from indoor and outdoor seating to acoustic materials and A/V/L equipment.
