what are epikos groups?
Frequently Asked Questions
1.
* Where do Small Groups meet? How long?
Small groups typically meet in someone’s home.
Groups last 90 minutes and tend to meet on
weeknights (Monday - Thursday).
* Is there homework for Groups?
Not really. However, your attendance at weekly
worship and the groups should inspire you to
investigate God’s Word and reflect upon your life. It
may also motivate you to study deeper into the things
being discussed. By the time you get to small group,
you will most likely have things that you will want to
share with the group.
* What types of groups are there?
We offer groups for couples, men, women, moms
and high school students.
* Do you meet during the summer?
Groups tend to meet less frequently during the
summer. As a church we like to have small groups
use this time to be in the community. This is a chance
for your groups to do activities outside that are fun
and also engage with others.
ABOUT EPIKOS
Epikos is a non-denominational church in
Milwaukee and West Allis. Our journey is based
upon living out the Good News that Jesus
taught, lived for and died for. We are a growing
community comprised of people of all ages and
from all walks of life. No matter where you are
on your spiritual journey, you’re invited to learn
about and experience God through fellowship,
worship, and teaching from God’s Word.
* How and when do I join a Group?
The easiest way to join a group is to go to our Current
Groups page. There you will see all the groups listed
by day, type and location. If your groups have
openings, you will see a "register" button. The leader
will follow up with you after you fill in the details
required. You can jump into a group at anytime!

Small groups meet weekly September through May.
Mid-sized groups usually consist of 15-50 people and

Mid-sized groups are usually based around a certain topic

His Word.
What?
Small groups usually consist of 8-12 people who get
together to hang out, pray together and discuss
questions based on Sunday’s sermon text.

on various nights of the week.
Why?
Small groups are crucial for experiencing dynamic
Christian community.
Why Do This?
These groups are all designed to help you
grow in your faith as part of our mission to
fulfill the command of Jesus; that is to
‘make more and better disciples’.

and large church events as Large Group.
