2014 Summer Horse Day Camp Dates Cliffs Equestrian Center, S unset June 23-‐27, 2014 Monday-‐Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm ½ days available 2014 July 1-‐3, Tuesday-‐Thursday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm No Experience necessary About CBR Horses Carl and Brenda Rathz have had a 50 acre farm in Six Mile, SC for 25 years and in October 2011 they took over the leasing of the Cliffs Equestrian Center. Carl and Brenda have conducted equestrian camps for over 17 years and this will be their third summer camp held at the Keowee Vineyards Equestrian Center. They have been teaching and training horses and people for over 47 years. For the last 14 years worked in Natural Horsemanship, an amazing technique that can help you and your horse. Brenda has cared for and with worked horses all of her life, and is an accomplished trainer and rider in hunter jumpers, western riding, recreational riding; and has her certification as an American Riding Instructor (ARIA) in western and recreational riding. Carl specializes in teaching beginner riders as well as addressing fear issues. He is certified in EAGALA as an equine specialist. What to Bring to Camp (Email) Ø Riding Boots or hard leather shoes with at least an inch heel. (Guardian or Parents name) Ø Long Pants or jeans for riding. Ø In case of emergency contact (You may wear shorts and change.) Signature Riding helmet. Shirt Size (If you don’t own one, we will provide one for you.) Youth ___XS____S____M___L___XL Ø Sunscreen, Fly spray, Lunch, Water & Snacks. Please mark all items with children’s names. We will not be responsible for the loss of any items. You may bring your own horse but you must let us know. All horses must have a current coggins and shots. Call about registering them.
