June 22 - First United Methodist Church
Dear Friends,
Vacation Bible School was a blast!
It is beautiful to see children learning about their faith and having such a wonderful time. It is also a blessing to see all the
youth and adults who help make it happen. This group of adults gave a lot of themselves throughout the four days of VBS to
make it a great experience for our children and I am grateful.
Last week our youth choir ministered in Chicago. This week our youth are on mission trips to Oklahoma and Alabama and some
of our middle schoolers are working in local missions this week right here in Jonesboro. I am so grateful for the ministries of
this church.
This week Herschel, Patty and I — along with several lay people in the church — are at our statewide Annual Conference in
Hot Springs. It is an honor to represent one of the strongest and most mission and ministry minded churches in the state.
Yours in Christ,
John
