Welcome
Welcome in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We pray that this service will be a joyful, uplifting
celebration of faith for you as you are strengthened through His Holy Word and Sacraments.
Our Vision: We are a Biblical community that is constantly seeking to be more like Jesus.
Mission and Ministry Values of St. Timothy:
We are empowered by the Spirit to worship, study, pray and grow.
We are missionaries to our world and servants to our community.
We intentionally work to grow disciples of Jesus Christ.
We strive to love unconditionally.
We care about physical and spiritual needs inside and outside the church.
Our Guests: We are so glad you have come. Please register your visit with us on the cards titled “Welcome”
found on the table at the Life Center entrance, and place them in the offering plates. We invite
those who wish to learn more about St. Timothy to join us in our Discovery class. Please contact the
church office for the dates and times of the next Discovery class. You are always welcome here!
Nursery: Nursery Care is available directly across from the Sanctuary. KidSpot is open for children. Babies, up
to 36 months, may be taken to the nursery at any time before or during the services. There are
friendly caregivers waiting for your child. Please note the information regarding Children's Church on
page 6. There is a special time of play and learning for children 2 1/2 through PreK during our church
services where you may bring your child instead of the nursery.
Hearing devices are available at the Welcome Desk every Sunday.
Holy Communion
As Lutheran Christians, we practice “close communion” which means as you come to the Lord’s Supper you
affirm that Jesus is your Savior and Lord, and with Lutheran Christians you believe His Body and Blood are
truly present “in, with, and under” the bread and wine and you desire to serve Him faithfully in the
fellowship of the church.
1. I believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and my personal Savior, and I am baptized.
2. I believe that I am a sinful human being who needs God’s mercy in Jesus Christ.
3. I personally confess my sins to God and ask for His forgiveness.
4. I believe that Christ is present in this Sacrament and through His Body and Blood,
He forgives all my sins and remembers them no more.
5. I ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to live a God-pleasing life
At St. Timothy we use both the Individual Cup, and the Common Cup, at each Communion Service. Please
come forward when the Ushers indicate. You will then be able to take the Individual or Common Cup as
you desire. If you take the Individual Cup, please hold it until the Pastor instructs you to drink.
The cups in the center of the Communion tray contain grape juice for those who wish to avoid alcohol.
Gluten free wafers are available for those who prefer or have allergies to gluten; just ask for one as you are
handed your wafer.

Sports and Music Bible Camp
EPIC Moments Sports and Music
Bible Camp is officially here!!
Tomorrow we kick-off our summer Bible Camp from 9am-12pm!
Children 4 years old through completed 5th grade and their
Huddle Coaches will experience God’s mighty power!
All spaces are full and registration is now closed.
If you cannot experience the fun of Sports and Music Bible Camp by being here with
us, you can support the leaders and children in countless ways:
Pray!
Pray that God will work in the lives of children, youth and adults during camp.
Pray that children who have never heard about the life & love of Jesus
will walk through our doors and experience Him.
Donate!
Some children and parents cannot afford to purchase t-shirts and cd’s. The
songs the families hear and the Biblical truths that are shared in the lyrics
and on the shirts will be with these children and parents far beyond
the 5 days they spend at St. Timothy.
The Closing Skills Show and Hamburger Dinner
If your child is attending our EPIC Moments Sports
and Music Bible Camp we invite you to join us on
Friday at 5:30 PM for their Closing Skills Show and a
Hamburger Dinner. At 5:30 PM we will begin serving
hot off the grill hamburgers and hot dogs out at the
pavilion area behind the Annex. At 6:00 PM the
children will perform their new skills for the parents to
see in each area of camp. Starting with Soccer, then to
the Life Center for Basketball, Cheerleading, Gross
Motor Skills and ending with Music and Drama.

Junior High Mission Trip
St. Timothy's Junior
High youth went on
a LINC Houston
Mission Trip last week.
They helped restore
homes, cleaned-up
neighborhoods and
also helped at the
Houston Food Bank.
August Neighborhood Workshop
Dr. Louise Hays will teach ways to signal the brain to grow connections to parts of
the brain and the body that promote reading comprehension, focus and attention,
and the ability to set a goal, work toward it, and accomplish it...a great basis for
achievement! These connections can grow at any age through specific Brain
Growth and Repair movements. We can stimulate the growth of brain connections
to help develop the ability to learn easily, to grow memory connections, to focus, to process,
and express ideas. Brain Growth and Repair Techniques are designed to do this at any
age. And they are successful. Dr. Hayes will share more at the Workshop August 6, at 9 AM.

Serving Our Community
In 2010, St. Timothy committed to “Do Something” by providing 25,000 hours of service to
our community and the world. Each year we have raised our goal and have met and exceeded
our commitment each time. Once again we challenge ourselves to "Do More!"
Our commitment to 35,000 service hours will continue for 2016.
Doing something through service hours is about bringing people together and taking action
that makes a difference - transforming lives and communities through the love of Jesus Christ.
Community service is any act that has a direct impact on the people in our community and
the world for Christ. It can take many different forms, whether it's participating in a ministry at
St. Timothy, volunteering through a community organization, helping with Sunday Services,
going on a mission trip, or simply giving your neighbor a hand.
OUR CURRENT TOTAL FOR 2016 IS 11,683 HOURS.
YOU CAN LOG YOUR VOLUNTEER SERVICE HOURS BY:
1. Going to www.ThirstyforJesus.org and clicking on the members tab OR
2. Write your hours and the event on your Welcome Card and place it in the offering plate.
