CaroMont Care Advocates This is how we care. “I have been very encouraged and impressed with CaroMont’s commitment to our community through the CaroMont Care Advocates Council members. The openness of leadership to comments and suggestions, their efforts to engage people from the community, their transparency concerning issues and concerns, and their responsiveness to suggestions have energized us as council members to a deeper level of commitment and involvement. CaroMont is markedly a better place for all the effort and work leadership and individuals have given and continue to give to make CaroMont Regional a leader in our region and state in patient care and patient safety. I am excited for all that is taking place and for what the future holds.” - David Belle Isle “As a CaroMont Care Advocate, I have been impressed by how the administration and employees critically examine processes and work toward making CaroMont Regional the best it can be. By being a part of this examination process, my input has been heard and put into action, contributing to and improving the overall health and well-being of our community.” - Synthia Kearney “I’ve been impressed to see that the suggestions and ideas that we shared were listened to and acted upon. There’s value in the work of the committee, and I’m pleased to have been a part of it.” - Michael Meeks, Sr. “I’ve been most impressed with the hospital’s willingness to listen and respond positively to our ideas and suggestions. In my opinion, the biggest of these improvements has been in the Emergency Department. To see CaroMont receive the council’s feedback in such an open manner is very impressive, it shows me how important patient care truly is to them. I am looking forward to seeing more great things happen!” - Tabetha Nail “Being a part of the CaroMont Care Advocates has given me a real and clear understanding of the mission and goals of CaroMont Health. All the departments have been very welcoming and receptive to our suggestions.” “In the last five years or so I’ve spent a lot of time in area hospitals, not as a patient but as a family member. I’ve spent countless hours in emergency departments, waiting rooms, ICUs, CCUs, PCUs and many patient rooms. These experiences have shown me to appreciate excellent medical facilities, and I’ve come to trust the care and convenience of CaroMont Regional. The ideal combination of superior care and accessibility can be life-saving and benefits not only the patient, but allows family and friends the ability to provide comfort, companionship and most importantly, advocacy. The CaroMont Care Advocates offers me an opportunity to help make CaroMont Regional the very best medical center anywhere.” - Heather Stancil - Carolyn Niemeyer “As a volunteer, former patient and spouse of a former patient I have come to appreciate what a wonderful hospital we have in Gaston County. By being a part of the CaroMont Care Advocates I hope to learn even more about CaroMont Regional so that I have facts and information and can be an advocate for the hospital throughout the community.” “Serving on the CaroMont Care Advocates has made me aware of the enormity of running an organization as large as CaroMont Health. It is refreshing to see an organization as determined to make changes in order to better serve their local community. I appreciate the effort made by management to institute change and the progress made based on our suggestions.” - Kevin Stewart - Charlotte Sautner “It is a privilege to be a member of the CaroMont Care Advocates.
