We are delighted to bring to Hyderabad French “new circus”. In this artistic
form, the acrobats don’t simply show their skills, but also entertain with poetry,
acting and magic. The company “3 fois rien” (3 times nothing) will undoubtedly
amaze all spectators. This performance will take place during the Qadir Ali Baig
Theatre Festival.
November is the month of the Documentary films in France. Hence, we
have prepared a mini-festival of the best films produced recently by reputed
filmmakers.
Don’t miss the Festival Choristers, and our Christmas evening in December,
time to celebrate!
Joyeux Anniversaire to us, Alliance Française Hyderabad turns 34 year old on
15/11!

We welcome Ms. Usha Chittur, our new Administrative Officer. She previously
worked for an international organization, and speaks a bit of French. Wishing
her all the best at the Alliance Française!
We bid farewell to Elodie Marc, Cultural Intern since July, who helped us in the
designing of our newsletter and all our communications. A big merci to her. Her
successor will be Mathieu Simon from mid-November, for a period of 6 months.

1914-1918
As the world turns its attention to the centenary of the Great War
WWI, this winter, we shall commemorate the remarkable but largely
forgotten contribution and experiences of Indian soldiers, as well as
the families they left behind.

Alliance Française of Hyderabad, French Embassy in India,
Goethe-Zentrum and University of Hyderabad are organizing a
series of events at various locations in the city to create awareness
on the lasting effects of war.

1. Panel Discussion on the topic “Beyond wars”
at University of Hyderabad.

The exhibition will show the untold, or at least largely forgotten,
stories of Indian Soldiers who fought in WWI.

In a playground in which big black and white boxes are placed,
3 characters successively arrive. A rather unusual book bursts in their
relationship, telling their own story, in a moment to share with the
audience. Through a series of visual painting, the 3 artists move in this
geometrically variable space, mixing acrobatics and handling of objects
