As former PTA president and Cultural Arts Representative for
my children’s school, I have seen firsthand what a positive

Founded in 1972, the Ballet Folklorico Mexico is recognized
as one of the most exciting groups presenting authentic
regional dances of Mexico. This awe-inspiring dance troupe
has traveled the world from China to the 2006 World Cup
Tournament in Germany.
Through exciting dance, vibrant music, and elaborate breath
taking costumes, this authentic troupe of 3 to 30 members
brings traditions, ancient folklore and customs of Mexico to
life. The thrilling dress includes flamboyant feathered outfits
and headdresses adorned with beads, suede and 6-foot long
pheasant tails – thought by the ancient Aztecs to provide
mystical communication with the Gods.
Celebrating cultures from Veracruz to Tamaulipas, and
traditions of the ancient Aztecas, Michoacans, Buerreros,
Sonoras, Jaliscos, through the days of the Mexican revolution
and magnificent ceremonial rituals, the majestic presence
of the Ballet Folklorico Mexico will transport you on an
unforgettable journey through their vibrant, exhilarating
country.
Complete with extensive teacher notes, School
Assemblies feature 3-4 dancers and musicians.

Direct from Mombasa, Kenya these phenomenal acrobats
combine the artistry of fast paced movement, music, dance
and incredible acrobatic elegance to perform a full stage
theatrical cirque extravaganza.
This thrilling performance exemplifies the link between
Athletics and the Arts, with incredible acrobatics, contortions,
tumbling, human pyramids, and chair balancing skills.
Acrobatics turns to dance with the Congo Snake Dance, the
Flaming Limbo Bar Dance, skip rope footwork techniques and
comedy all to electrifying music. Audience participation is
always included.
In addition to theatrical performances, stage shows
and festivals worldwide, the Jabali Acrobats perform
at NBA and college basketball half times. Other past

Wild World of Animals is a wildlife company specializing in entertaining and educational shows
for a variety of occasions and events. The menagerie consists of more than eighty-five animals
including big cats, wolves, other large carnivores, primates, birds of prey, parrots, monkeys,
venomous and non-venomous snakes, crocodilians and other various reptiles, small mammals
and amphibians, leopard, cougar, black bear, North American grizzly bear, black and white rufted
lemur, king cobra, 20’ python, snapping turtle, 8’ alligators, European eagle owls and more.

2012 Drum Ensemble of the Year
Street Drum Corps is a world-renowned, high energy drum and percussion show formed
in Los Angeles in 2004 that performs on Musical Tours, Performing Arts Centers, Festivals,
Theme Parks, Sporting Events, Fairs, Military Bases, Private Parties, Schools and Colleges. Founding
members Bobby Alt, Adam Alt and Frank Zummo had a vision to create something unique and
unseen in the percussion world. Today SDC has grown into a global movement.
SDC has performed with over 25 bands and toured more than 30 countries around the world
supporting acts such as Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars, Motley Crue, Deftones, Chris Corness,
Skrillex Grammy’s NARAS Concert (Performance to honor John Lennon & Yoko Ono)...and many

With 7 albums to their credit, SDC’s Blood Drums production is a regular during Halloween at Theme

Ruby Harris

Ruby Harris is a veteran of the Chicago Blues scene who has
performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln
Center, appeared on MTV with Bob Dylan and Tom Petty
and played for more than a million people at Chicago’s
Navy pier on the 4th of July. Voted “Entertainer of the
Year” by Wild Chicago, Ruby fashions his music around a
fiery electric violin as well as mandolin and guitar.
While most of his material is Blues inspired, he also
updates cover tunes that are so unique they may as well
be originals.
Interactive and intriguing, Ruby takes audiences into
each song with his stories and corny jokes. Then goes on to
create a spellbinding, exotic, exciting landscape as he shines like
an all-star jam band.
Shows are performed solo or with a group of several musicians.
School Assemblies consist of Ruby demonstrating different sounds, styles and genres on
electric violin, guitar and mandolin.

Congo Dance Theater
Bichini Bia Congo Dance Theatre, established in 1979 by
Jean-Claude Biougilla Biza (Sompa), is a performance theater
that promotes the preservation and practice of authentic
Congolese Dance and African culture.
By highlighting the influences of African culture our mission

The Nego Gato Ensemble bring the rich African influenced rhythms and dances originating
in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, a region known for custom deeply rooted in the traditions and
spirituality of ancestral Africa.
The Ensemble is directed by Jose Sena, known professionally as Nego Gato, to share his
experience of growing up on the streets of Salvador immersed in the magical sounds of the
Street Musicians, Carnaval, and Candomble ceremonies. Their repertoire includes works from
Afro-Brazilian Folkloric Dances such as Samba, Maculele, and the Dances of the forces of
Nature, known as Orixa in Brazil. It features a performance of Capoeira, an African Brazilian
martial art that combines dance, gymnastics and acrobatics. All are accompanied by live
percussion and traditional instruments.
FROM AFRICA TO BRAZIL ASSEMBLY PROGRAM is a
smaller version of our theatrical performance that includes a
blend of music, dance and historical narrative that traces the
roots of the culture of Salvador, Brazil back to its African origins.
This 45 minute performance, complete with teacher preparatory
notes, presents beautiful costumes and the exciting explosive
art of Capoeira, all with live percussion and invites student
participation throughout the show. Workshops and Residencies
are also available.
THE NEGO GATO BAND features a mix of American jazz
styles mixed with a background of traditional African Brazilian
rhythms of Samba, Ijexa, and Candomble. The band can be
presented in Concert, for a Dance Party, or in Carnaval style of a
street parade. All are featured in the CD entitled “Baiano in New
York.”

Arthus Lipner is one of the leading vibes and marimba voices of today. As a soloist and bandleader
Lipner has performed and taught in more than 25 countries. He premiered his concerto “Mallet
Fantasia” with the National Symphony of Brazil. Arthur is a consummate performer and
instructor presenting workshops and master classes at Julliard, Yale, and Royal College in the UK. He
has also authored two widely-adopted method books for percussion and improvisation.
Brazil - a country with four time zones, the Amazon, and the largest city in Central/South America
(Sao Paulo). Brazilian Music is rich in rhythms which originated in Africa. Brazilian Soul plays a
variety of these rhythms in their concert repertoire.
For Concerts, Theaters, Performing Arts Centers Arthur will play a virtuosic solo set on
vibraphone and marimba . This popular NYC based group performs regularly at BBKing’s in Times
Square.
Their Educational Assembly Program involves explaining geographical and historical information
about the rhythms of each song. The instrumentation of the trio is demonstrated and explained with
the folkloric Brazilian instrument berimbau. Consisting of a wooden stick, resonating gourd, and one
string played with a small stone, berimbau is a wonderful example of what one can do with
seemingly simple acoustic materials and sounds. Carlos Dias plays and sings beautiful melodies
which will create lasting memories! Arthur Lipner is one of the world’s top keyboard percussion
players. His marimba, a large xylophone in the same family as the Orff xylophones which many
school children play, is a strikingly beautiful instrument. His four mallets zoom up and down the
keyboard, showing how virtuosity can meet musicality. The visual aspect of his playing engages the
audiences’ eyes, ears and brains simultaneously. Vocalist Vanessa Fallabela, from a long line of
well-known Brazilian musicians and actresses, began singing on tv/radio commercials as a young
child.
The trio also travels with several small percussion instruments such as agogo bells and pandeiro,
which will further help to illustrate the diversity in rhythm and sound from beautiful Brazil.
The story of Arthur’s inner and outer journeys is featured in the extraordinary documentary “Talking
Sticks” (2014, 63 minutes).

Blind Bike Trials
Mark Nichols
In 2004, at the age of 24, Matt lost his vision as a result of
having Type I diabetes. He had been riding bikes for most of
his life. When he lost his vision, he feared that he would never
be able to ride again.
One day, he decided to grab his trials bike and go out to the
curb just to hop around and do some simple moves. He
quickly realized that he couldn’t even trackstand, and he put
his bike away in disappointment. A few days later, he was
determined to learn how to trackstand without vision. There was
no one to tell Matt how to go about it. On his own, he needed to
figure out how to handle a bike without being able to see.
After several months of practice, Matt was able to reacquire this
and many of the other skills he had mastered before losing his vision.
Matt enjoys sharing his story of perseverance and spreading the word about the joys of cycling
through his exciting and inspiring show. He talks about the difficulties of living with diabetes and
how it cost him his sight; he also explains how he learned to face new challenges – one of which
was to learn all over again how to ride a bike – and actually become a better rider than he was
prior to becoming blind. After that, he shows the audience how he has mastered going up, down
and off of obstacles with power and precision. Matt tailors his show for all audiences.
For more than 30 years, Mark Nichols’ Puppet Place
Theater has entertained children and families
throughout the country. Mark, who has performed
at such venues as Ravinia and Taste of Chicago,
uses a variety of puppetry styles in his show.
Those styles - hand, rod, string and shadow
puppets – are worked into each story.
The Puppet Place Theater comes complete with

The Stand Strength Team was founded twenty years ago by Terry Nailan who had a goal
to reach young people in a powerful, motivating way, encouraging them to make positive
choices in their lives. His belief is that if young people make the right choices they can
and will impact and change the world for the greater good. Team Members consist of Tae
Kwon Do instructors, nutritionists, Cross Fit Trainers and more.
In their School Assemblies Stand Strength Team will motivate students with
anti-bullying, anti-tobacco, drugs and alcohol messages. The unforgettable positive
overtones prevail as these athletes break bricks with their bare hands, lie on a bed of
nails with a log on top of them, rip phonebooks, bend steel bars and lift giant logs.
Half Time Shows captivate audiences with their Strength and ability to defy all of the
odds.
Fairs, Festivals, Special Appearances and Customized Shows of your choice keep
Stand Strength Team on the road regularly.

Division BMX
High Flying Cyclists
The Division BMX Stunt Team is formed from an
elite group of professional BMX riders who have
come together to both promote the sport of BMX
riding as well as show the world what BMX is truly
about, riding with friends and channeling energy
toward something positive. With over 10 years of
BMX performances under their belts, the Division
BMX Stunt Team knows how to entertain and keep a
n audience on the edge of their seats.
Witnessing stunt riding on tv is one thing, but to have it up close
and personal is an experience that will leave spectators in amazement
and wanting more. Watch in awe as stunt riders perform tricks at
heights reaching over 25 feet above the ground. With high-flying
entertainment, the Division BMX Stunt Team creates an energetic
atmosphere every time they perform. Their professional announcer
will leave the crowd in bellyaches with original humor and non-stop antics.
The shows generally last between 20-40 minutes, with an autograph session
if permitted. Division BMX offers you the flexibility to fit stunt performances
to any event. Want a grand-finale type production to captivate a large crowd?
We can do that. Looking for a short performance to open for another act? No problem.
We are flexible and will be happy to work with you on a performance
that is sure to astound and add a real blast of excitement!

Sky Squad, led by Andres Baines, has thrilled millions
of fans with their aerial artistry. Dazzling acrobatic
flips and twists off mini trampolines mixed with
comedy antics, mid air passes and dynamic slam
dunking deliver non-stop pure energy excitement
to audiences of all ages. These talented gymnasts
travel to schools, festivals, corporate events, camps
and Half Time Shows world-wide. Sky Squad is the
official dunk team for the WNBA Chicago Sky.

EnviroDrum Maryland

On the surface EnviroDrum is a
percussion group comprised of
professional musicians who have a
passion for music and an eye for
engaging performance. The group takes
their love of music and couples it with a
desire for preserving the environment.
The founder of the group, Jeff Salem, is a
professional percussionist from Toronto,
Canada. Jeff yearned to spread
environmental awareness. His way of
spreading that awareness was simple:
percussion.
EnviroDrum uses strictly recyclable products as percussion instruments. To complement
their rhythm section, keyboards and vocals are added.
The 3R’s “REDUCE, REUSE & RECYCLE” and the value, fun and excitement of learning to play
a musical instrument are coupled with entertaining moments when the group performs
different styles of music, and explanations of rhythms, bests and pitch.
Upon request, they will also touch on topics specific to a schools’ musical program.
Workshops are also available. Topics include how to make percussive instruments from
recyclable items and how to make music in a group setting. A performance composition will
be created in each workshop.
Shows are perfect for schools, festivals, and corporate events. For corporate events and
festivals, the group offers their professional band of award winning musicians and custom
p
tailored performances.

The Flores Thrill Show provides a full array of circus thrill acts.
Shows can incorporate thrill acts such as the “Globe of Death”,
“Giant Space Wheel”, as well as thrilling High Wire Acts, Animal
Acts, and Specialty Acts.
The Flores Thrill Circus can be presented in an open-air format,
in your venue, or in their specialized European styled tent.
Completely self-contained, the show provides state of the art
lighting, sound, and pyrotechnics. Shows can vary in length
from 10 minutes to 2 hours.
