Ladies against the Gentleman. This is a building fund
raising event. Invite your family and friends to come out
and fellowship with us on this day during our 11AM
morning worship service & help support our building fund.
We plan to have a wonderful time in the Lord. We are
asking all Miracle Temple Members to give a Minimum
$50.00 donation. There are 7 weeks left before this event,
so you can give $10.00 per week if you like. As a church
we agreed during the planning meeting to set a $5,000 goal
for this service, so as a church let’s make it happen.
Refreshments will be served after service. Please contact

13 Is any among you afflicted ? let
him pray . Is any merry ? let him sing
psalms . 14 Is any sick among you? let
him call for the elders of the church;
and let them pray over him, anointing
him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save
the sick , and the Lord shall raise him
up ; and if he have committed sins,
they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess
your faults one to another, and pray
one for another, that ye may be healed
. The effectual fervent prayer of a
righteous man availeth much. 17 Elias
was a man subject to like passions as
we are, and he prayed earnestly that it
might not rain : and it rained not on
the earth by the space of three years
and six months. 18 And he prayed
again, and the heaven gave rain, and
the earth brought forth her fruit.

We are living in world with
modern conveniences like iPads,
smartphones, and GPS. These
gadgets are meant to make live
easier, but often wind up
distracting us from practicing
spiritual disciplines like prayer.
Our lesson today reminds us to
pray regardless of the situation.
Praying for our brothers and
sisters in Christ will keep us
sensitive to one another. Through
prayer, we can stay connected to
our power source: God. He
strengthens us to endure the
intrusions that appear in life that
we never imagined we would
encounter. Direction Dec, Jan, Feb

“A Church Where You Can Feel the Holy Spirit”
Superintendent Clethen U. Sutton, Pastor,
Miracle Temple C.O.G.I.C. & Administrative
Assistant to the Jurisdictional Bishop
We have entered into another year, 2015 is certainly here. I am sure you have heard the
promises and resolutions from individuals, family members and friends perhaps even you
yourself have made; losing weight, eating healthier, attending Sunday school more, stop
smoking, stop cursing so much, etc. You don’t have to wait until the New Year to make a
change in your life. Jesus can help you do that anytime, just call on him. According to
Romans 10:13, “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Mark Twain said,
“New Year’s Day, now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions.
Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.” The definition of resolution is a
firm decision to do or not to do something. The actions of many let us know that either when
they make these resolutions during the New Year it is just something to say or they do not truly
understand the definition of resolution. I propose that instead of making a new year’s
resolution that we take a moment to reflect over the year that the Lord allowed us to make it
through. Take time to examine our hearts and souls according to 2 Corinthians 13:5. It is no
secret that we are living in a day in time which the bible speaks about in the book of
revelation. Having just a small knowledge of this should want us to have an anointing on our
lives from the Lord. The purpose of the anointing is to authorize, or set apart a person for a
particular work or service. You certainly need to be fresh and pure when doing a work for the
Lord. “But my horn you have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.”
Psalms 92:10. There is nothing wrong with those worthy goals. At the same time, though, let
us use our New Year opportunity to ask and answer our spiritual questions. Let us, during the
2015 year and at the end of this year, make our deepest resolutions aim toward pleasing Jesus
Christ and exhibiting love, kindness and compassion toward others.
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
Before we can pour out the oil of the Holy Spirit into other people’s lives, we need to get filled
up to overflowing first. Jesus wants us to be anointed with fresh oil. Then you shall take the
anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him. Exodus 29:7
 It’s so important for us to spend time with Jesus in His presence daily
