Blessed is the Mother who
lets the Lord be her guiding
hand,
whose faith brings her family
courage,
whose wisdom comes from God,
and whose children stand and
honor her.
BEATITUDES FOR MOTHERS
Blessed are mothers...who did without for us, they will
be rewarded.
Blessed are mothers...who lost sleep when we were
sick, they will find rest.
Blessed are mothers...who taught us how to pray, they
will share God’s kingdom.
Blessed are mothers...who comforted us, they shall be
comforted.
Blessed are mothers...who taught us right from wrong,
they will know justice.
Blessed are mothers...who shared with us the meaning
of peace, they will know peace.
Blessed are mothers...who taught us the importance of
loving God and each other, they shall see God.
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
FOR VOCATIONS
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall
rejoice in time to come.
Today, we celebrate World Day of Prayer for
Vocations. Let us take time today to pray for religious
vocations which are so very much needed.

YOU CAN MAKE A
DIFFERENCE...
WELCOME TO OUR
NEWLY BAPTIZED
Just a reminder, we still have food certificates available for our local supermarkets.
Food certificates are the same as gift certificates, only
they are for the supermarkets. We have them for King Kullen,
Stop & Shop, Pathmark, Cross Island Fruits and CVS. Since
you have to eat and feed your family, why not help your parish
at the same time? It’s an even exchange. If you give us $100,
we give you $100 in food certificates. They actually come in
denominations from $5 up to $100. Spend whatever you wish.
In turn, the supermarket will give us a 5% rebate.
We have approximately 2,500 families in our parish.
Can you imagine, if each family in our parish used these certificates on a regular basis to do their food shopping, what the
revenue could be? Our parish will receive 5% of the total
amount of certificates you use. They don’t cost you anything
more than what you would have spent at the store.
You can get them at the Rectory, Monday through
Friday from 9:30AM to 4:30PM and 6PM to 9PM. On Saturday from 9:30M to 5:00PM and on Sundays, before or after
you go to Mass from 9AM to 1PM. When purchasing them
from the Rectory, you must pay by check only. They are also
available during school hours at OLP School, which will accept cash or check.
