Interactive lessons, business cases, group activities, guest lectures with professionals Finance I Global Sourcing Entrepreneurship Design Finance II & Risk Management Innovation Management Energy Global Business Advanced Marketing Circular Economy 8 One -week exchange program: Each one-week concentration takes place between February and March from Monday to Saturday All courses have been carefully selected according to specific MIP competencies and its extensive connections with Italian companies Course structure: each concentration is composed of 46 hours of class and additional learning activities Team project assignments: interactive activities and group assignments at the end of each concentration. Teams are required to propose solutions for unique case studies to elaborate effective presentations 9 Concentrations overview Advanced Marketing Objective: theories and concepts of modern marketing strategies and practices. Students study digital marketing and strategic sales management, while participating in workshops on building successful multi-channel marketing campaigns as well as techniques used in constructing effective marketing plans. Circular Economy Objective: analyze the transition to a circular economy. A reduction of resources and fossil energy consumed per unit of manufacturing output- will not alter the finite nature of their stocks but can only delay the inevitable. This course will guide you thourgh a deep analysis on the circular economy and the implications that this shift may generate. Energy & Sustainability Management Objective: gain relevant managerial skills for a greater understanding of industry dynamics, as well as managerial practices and analytical skills for the assessment and evaluation of real world investment in the energy industry. 10 Concentrations overview Finance I and finance II & Risk Management equip participants with the tools to be able to identify valid financial investments for various classes of risk and to develop restructuring and turnaround skills; teach the main technicalities involved in the private equity industry and how to measure and quantify shareholder value. The two concentrations in Finance appeal to those interested in the finance sector, including investment banking, investment management, hedge funds, and private equity, and is also a good choice for those interested in corporate treasury, retail banking, and management consulting. Innovation Management Objective: encourage students to generate new ideas, develop innovative business models, and create new jobs. This concentration is designed for students looking to develop the skills necessary for managing innovation and in particular, technological innovation in established corporations as well as in new ventures. This concentration is also an appropriate choice for those considering private equity or management consulting, or those entering small technology -based companies with strong growth curves. 11 Concentrations overview Entrepreneurship Objective: provide MBA students with the skills, analytical tools to assess the attractiveness of new ventures, anticipate the problems likely to be encountered as the business evolves and in predict success or failure. Students will work in teams to launch companies, working through issues of market analysis, technology viability assessment, competitive positioning, team‐building, marketing strategy. Global Business and Management Objective learn how to effectively manage in a global business environment. Students can select from a range of courses that address issues relevant to those managers and companies operating in a global environment. Students will learn to examine organizations, markets and institutions from a multi-national perspective, gaining a solid comprehension of how culture, economics, geography and politics impact on a manager’s role in markets that cross national boundaries. Global Sourcing & procurement Objective: explain and disetangle the emerging phenomenon of global sourcing. While global sourcing was previously only associated primarily with information technology and standard business processes, recently companies have begun outsourcing knowledge work to compensate for limited capital and product development capacity. 12 Concentrations overview Design Objective: strengthen the capabilities of MBA students to conceive and manage designdriven innovation. Strategic thinking, vision creation, generation and innovation management in highly uncertain environments, integration of networks of internal and external resources, teamwork, creativity, and leadership, are the core skills of tomorrow’s top managers. In this context, design culture is deemed to make a strong contribution in shaping these skills. An approach to design that is interactive and intrinsically oriented towards change and envisioning new possibilities, may indeed provide the fundamental basis for the competence of managers in strategy making and management of innovation. Luxury Management Objective: study the effective practices evident within, and essential to the success of, luxury based companies.
