Korea sometime back with the specious argument that “they may fall into the wrong hands”. We know these are just excuses the gun control bunch use to prevent exercising our constitutional rights. IRON OWL This year marked the 5th annual Iron Owl Challenge hosted by the OIT Veterans Administration. Like previous years we saw teams from across the country visit Klamath Falls and compete. The Navy and Air Force academy, Colorado Springs ROTC and Kingsley Field went head to head for top spot in a three day/night military challenge. Sunday morning, teams arrived at the Richard Wickline 600 yard range for the final day's events. They tested their marksmanship skills with best 3 shot group, most hits on target at 625 yards, 10 shot barricade at 200 yards, improvised shooting positions at 100 yards and a close quarters combat course. Although the teams were pretty rough and tired they all performed well with the Air Force taking first place for the weekend events. Erick Bishop.
