OBAMA’S SUPREME COURT
PICK OPPOSED BY NRA!
The NRA is contacting it’s
membership to ask them to contact
their U.S. Senators to oppose the president’s pick of Merrick Garland to fill
the vacant seat of Antonin Scalia with
this anti gun judge from the D.C. Circuit Court.
Garland’s judicial record reveals his antigun bias in cases such as
the Heller decision where he voted to
rehear the decision hoping for a different outcome that would allow D.C.’s
ban on handguns to continue.
NYC POLITICIANS AGAIN ATTACK GUN
INDUSTRY!
Gun hating politicians in the big apple are
trying a different tack in an attempt to shut down a
lawful industry manufacturing a lawful product that
is then hijacked for criminal purposes.
New York’s Public Advocate is requesting
the S.E.C. to investigate Sturm, Ruger and Co. to
determine whether the company adequately informs
their shareholders of the dangers of their products.
The advocate is questioning the commission as to
whether the company has mislead investors of the
dangers and liability risks of their products. This
action follows along the same lines as Mayor De
Blasio’s directions that all public pension funds and
Garland also voted in the past to allow other investment vehicles divest their portfolios of
the FBI to retain records of sale for firearms

that is claimed not to exist.
The NY public advocate also asked TD
Congressman Todd young of Indiana
Bank to stop financing S&W in Springfield, Mass.
has introduced a resolution in the House of
Representatives that requires any nomination
and asked NYC’s largest pension fund to “ explore

It may be remembered that past NYC Mayor

JSSA NEWS!
This was the last month
for mixed steel until next winter
as USPSA comes back in April.
Good news: 3-gun starts May
14th. Medford has a 3-gun
match on April 30th. Josh.
Steve Hall and Roger
Schmidt have retired as USPSA
match directors . After many
years putting on the matches
they have grown somewhat shot
out and moved aside for some
new blood and ideas. Thanks
Steve and Roger for all those
hours of effort in sometimes not
so great weather. So the new
season will start off with a new
match director Jake Nelson and
we hope all the shooters will
pitch in and help in any way
they can. USPSA cranks up
April 3rd and could be on the
new Multi purpose training
range now that there is some stabilization of the range floor and
access road. All we need now is
to start using what has been
done an find out what more can
be improved.
The gun show is April
23rd and 24th and Dan Gettling
will be contacting club members
for assistance in staffing various
positions or please contact him
at 541-281-6841 to put your
name on the duty roster.
Jon McKellar reports
that the next two defensive pistol matches will be preempted
first by the gun show on April
23 & 24 and in May by the annual Bowling Pin shoot on the
22nd. He will be dreaming up
more challenges for June.
2
Charlie sez:
The May Steel Challenge will be on
April 30 and not the first Saturday in May as
is normal. USPSA will be on Sunday the 1st
in the usual sequence.
COWBOYS
From Jasper:
Don't forget to let me know if you
can help at the Gun Show? So far we have
four that said they would. It would be great
to have seven or eight. 3-4 for the front
door, at least one for each of the other 2
doors and maybe 2 for breaks. Planning on
the Sun. the 24th afternoon shift. I think it is
11:30am to 3pm. I know it seems like a long
time but we quit taking money about 2 or so
last year so we just need a couple to watch
for guns after that. Wear your best cowboy
gear including your pistolas.
Hope to see everyone at our Sun.
the 10th of April match. Remember we are
cancelling the Sat. the 23rd match to attend
the JSSA Gun Show. If any of you Cowpokes got a hankerin’ to shoot late in April,
the Claim Jumpers down Yreka way has a
pairs shoot every time there is a 5th Sat. in
the month. We could all head down that
way the 30th of April. I am planning on it
and if some others want to, maybe we
could get some wagon pooling going and
get some of us down there. I have been to
a couple of them and it would be hard to
find Cowboy Action Shootin any more fun
than they are. I know most of ya don't like
California all that much but the Hombres'
down Yreka way are some really great
Cowboys. On top of that, some of them
don't shoot all that bad either! I will get the
start time from Jed I., Bloody Bill or Royal
Flush and pass it on to ya.

Unilateral vs Universal Background checks
In the April issue of the Blue Press Alan Korwin
THE NRA DUES INCREASE HAS
BEEN EXTENDED TO MAY 1ST!
describes a background check system developed 15 years
ago called BIDS (Blind Identification System). The system
relies on the individual FFL dealer to scan a list of prohibited persons at the point of sale rather than having to contact a government agency (FBI) for their approval to exercise your constitutional rights. The system would also
eliminate the requirement that your personal information be
furnished to the feds for the gun registry they deny exists
under NICS and the universal background check system
being pushed in many state legislatures by Soros,
Bloomberg, et al.
Korwin explains that the reason the BIDS system
has not been adopted is due to the vast cuts in the FBI’s
empire and funding of staff that would result in the more
efficient system, the scrapping of the registry of law abiding
citizens and the blow it would strike to the gun control pundits and their agendas for disarming the country.
Korwin reveals the NICS is audited by a federal
agency and a public audit is not necessary ( Really?)

COWBOY COMMENTS:
For any of you who
may be thinking of possibly
making an Annual Match somewhere, here is some info on
one of the side matches that is
offered at most of them brought
to you by Jed I. TV. If I ever get
my .45/.70 sighted in for shorter
distances I hope to shoot in
one some day.
I have received some new info
on the match we were asked to
move the 8th of May. Apparently there was a mistake made
on the Park calendar and we
won't have to move it after all.
We are back on for the 8th.
Hope to see you all this Sun.
For those of you looking for
more information on the
Suislaw River Rangers Cowboy
Action Shooting club located off
the beautiful Oregon Coast in
Florence, it's in this episode
too!
Those that want to see your
Pards, Celilo, Cherokee Clay,
Barrelhouse Bob, Jed I. Knight,
Lefty Lem and Tex Dover
shoot; watch this episode!!
Many of you want to meet the
newest star of JED iTV, little
Miss Ellie Mae (daughter of
Jessica Jane Pride and Estado
Jefferson), she is in this episode as well!!! JASPER
