Gina Keatley is a culinary author, award-winning dietitian and founder of Keatley Medical
Nutrition Therapy. Utilizing her professional and educational experiences, Gina has become
known for her food- focused appearances, cookbooks, her campaign for the use of fresh foods in
low-income areas, and as an American Diabetes Ambassador. She has been recognized for her
charity work, being named a 2011 CNN Hero and L’Oreal Woman of Worth. Additionally, The
Women Chefs and Restaurateurs, American Culinary Federation and The James Beard Foundation
have recognized Gina for her culinary and humanitarian impact. In 2013, Gina Keatley was
honored with The President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition Community Leadership
Award.
Gina Keatley is an inspiring, entertaining, and down-to-earth woman who defied the odds and
refused to give up. By trusting her gut and following her heart, Gina Keatley turned an
unconventional life into a success. She stands as an optimistic, humorous, and heartwarming
exploration of how anyone
can do the same.
Keatley’s story begins with an extremely impoverished and chaotic childhood that leads to a triumphant
adulthood. She has used her past hurdles in life to define her as an unorthodox over the top health
advocate. Armed with a B.S. in nutrition from New York University and a decade of professional cooking
under her belt Keatley begin working in America’s hardest hit, impoverished and underserved
communities. She worked side by side with drug addicts, homeless and immigrant families, creating
from the ground up Nourishing USA, a community food program that feeds tens-of-thousands across
America. Throwing caution to the wind and embracing that concept of personal food responsibility Gina
succeeded where others had failed and she did it her way.
Keatley, a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist, can now be seen preforming nationwide culinary and
nutritional on-air demonstrations, working on her books and making speaking appearances at
corporations and universities across America.

Top Chef: Seattle, the tenth season of the Emmy and James Beard Award-winning series,
premieres on Wednesday, November 7th at 10/9c. Famed chef and restaurant mogul
Wolfgang Puck joins as a judge this season, alongside Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, Hugh
Acheson, and Emeril Lagasse, with Padma Lakshmi returning as host, as 21 cheftestants
compete for the “Top Chef” crown.
Top Chef" offers a fascinating window into the competitive, pressure-filled environment
of world-class cookery and the restaurant business at the highest level. The series
features aspiring chefs who compete for their shot at culinary stardom and the chance
to earn the title of “Top Chef."
Each episode holds two challenges for the chefs. The first is a Quickfire test of their
basic abilities and the second is a more involved elimination challenge designed to test
the versatility and inventiveness of the chefs as they take on unique culinary trials such
as working with unusual and exotic foods or catering for a range of demanding clients.
The challenges not only test their skills in the kitchen, but also uncover if they have the
customer service, management and teamwork abilities required of a Top Chef. The
competing chefs live and breathe the high-pressure lifestyle that comes with being a
master chef and each week someone is asked to "pack up their knives" and go home.
Seven of America's most-fearless chefs test their physical prowess,
mental toughness and culinary skills on Extreme Chef, hosted by TV
veteran and seasoned world traveler Marsh Mokhtari. The grueling
and seemingly impossible culinary challenges are judged by a rotating
panel of notable guest judges, including Simon Majumdar (Next Iron
Chef judge and food journalist), Ben Sargent (host of Cooking
Channel’s Hook, Line & Dinner), and Troy Johnson (host of Crave, food
critic and journalist). In the end, only one chef will be the most
extreme while taking home a $50,000 grand prize.
