Dawn Foods was first established in the U.S nearly a century ago.
Originally two bakers set up a Donut bakery in Jackson, Michigan,
but when people from afar asked for their recipe, instead of giving it
away, they started to sell the mix. By 1920 they were selling more mix
than donuts and The Dawn Donut Company (named for the time of
day bakers do their work) was formed – the very first manufacturer of
bakery mixes in America.
Today Dawn remains a family owned business, manufacturing and
distributing American Style Sweet Bakery products worldwide.
Following the acquisition of Unifine Food & Bake Ingredients, we
now have multiple production sites and a network of sales offices
across Europe. In the UK where we have been established for over
20 years, our nut free production site is centrally located in Evesham
in Worcestershire. Dawn has years of expertise within our UK
development and manufacturing teams and combines this with
insight and market knowledge from across the Atlantic.
