Teleperformance U.S.A. Employees Package 30,000 Meals for Impoverished Children in Zambia Company partners with Stop Hunger Now with volunteer efforts across three Teleperformance contact centers January, 2015 – Teleperformance U.S.A. dedicates thousands of volunteer hours every year to help international and domestic charitable organizations in their fights against childhood hunger. As part of this effort, Teleperformance U.S.A. partnered with Stop Hunger Now in the fall of 2014 at three different events at Teleperformance contact centers across the country. Stop Hunger Now is a nonprofit that provides packaged meals, vitamins, medical supplies and other donated aid across 65 countries. Teleperformance U.S.A. employees in Salt Lake City, Ft. Lauderdale and Columbus, gave nearly 400 volunteer hours to help package meals that would be shipped overseas to Stop Hunger Now beneficiaries in Zambia. More than 60 employees packaged a total of 30,000 meals across the three contact center sites. The meals consisted primarily of hearty chicken and rice dishes along with vitamin supplements. They were shipped by Stop Hunger Now to several orphanages and shelters across Zambia that house young children without families. “Teleperformance partners with a number of charitable organizations whose missions are to put food on the table for families and children in need. Stop Hunger Now approached us with this wonderful opportunity to help children in Zambia and we immediately wanted to be a part of it,” said Kerry Black, Teleperformance Director of Corporate Human Resources. “Our employees possess an unparalleled enthusiasm and desire to help others. This was a great event and I am proud to be part of a company who truly believes in giving back to the community.”
