SPC ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING IS THIS SUNDAY,
IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SERVICE
Vote!twice!this!year!!!Once!on!Sunday!99!and!then!again!on!Tuesday!
The!session!has!scheduled!the!Annual!Congregational!Meeting!for!Sunday,!June!5th,
immediately!following!the!Sunday!worship!service.!We!will!convene!the!meeting!in!the
sanctuary.
A!comprehensive!report!on!the!church's!activities!will!be!distributed.
The!Finance!Committee!will!present!the!proposed!budget!for!2016.!The!congregation!is!required
to!approve!by!a!majority!vote!both!the!budget!and!the!pastor's!salary.

STEVE AND JILL FUGARO ANNOUNCE THE ENGAGEMENT OF THEIR
SON KEVIN BRADFORD FUGARO TO JENNA LOUISE GAVIGAN
Steve!and!Jill!Fugaro!are!happy!to!announce!the!engagement!of!their!son!Kevin!Bradford!Fugaro
to!Jenna!Louise!Gavigan!of!New!York!City.
!
Kevin!and!Jenna!met!in!2011!when!cast!as!boyfriend!and!girlfriend!in!Kaufman!and!Hart's!The
Man!Who!Came!to!Dinner!at!The!Peccadillo!Theater!Company!in!New!York.
!
Jenna!was!born!and!raised!in!New!York,!as!were!her!parents!and!grandparents.!!She!and!her
parents!moved!from!Brooklyn!to!Armonk,!New!York!in!Westchester!County!when!Jenna!was
five.!!She!graduated!from!Byram!Hills!High!School!in!Armonk!and!attended!Columbia!University,
where!she!received!her!BA!in!Creative!Writing.!!An!actress,!Jenna!made!her!Broadway!debut!at
age!sixteen!in!Gypsy!opposite!Bernadette!Peters!and!has!been!working!consistently!on!stage
and!screen,!most!recently!OffYBroadway!in!the!world!premiere!of!Straight.!!While!working!as!an
actress,!Jenna!also!writes!television!and!fiction.!She
loves!to!cook!(in!the!teeny,!tiny!New!York!kitchen
she!shares!with!Kevin),!do!yoga,!and!loves!to!hold
any!baby!whose!mother!is!willing.!She's!very!excited
to!marry!Kevin!and!join!the!Fugaro!family.!!
!
Kevin!was!born!in!San!Francisco,!raised!in!Mill
Valley,!and!baptized!at!Sausalito!Presbyterian
Church,!where!he!subsequently!became!a!member.
His!experience!in!the!Church's!Sunday!School
program!cultivated!an!early!love!for!the!performing
arts.!He!attended!Mount!Tamalpais!School!and!San
Francisco!University!High!School!and!went!on!to
graduate!from!Northwestern!University,!receiving
his!BA!with!departmental!honors!and!concentrating
in!Drama!and!Music!Theater.!Kevin!moved!to!NYC
and!became!an!Equity!stage!and!TV!actor,!working
at!Roundabout!Theatre,!Oregon!Shakespeare
Festival,!and!The!Goodman!Theatre.!He!got!his!start
in!TV!as!a!patient!on!"Nurse!Jackie"!throwing!up!on!Anna!Deveare!Smith!and!Edie!Falco.!After!a
few!years!as!a!nomadic!actor,!Kevin!joined!the!tech!company!Zeel!and!currently!serves!as
Business!Development!Director!for!New!York.!He!continues!his!artistic!pursuits!by!writing!plays
and!is!conducting!the!first!table!read!of!his!new!play!"Love,!Anton,"!which!catalogues!Anton
Chekhov's!catastrophic!experience!mounting!The*Seagull!in!Moscow.!He!is!thrilled!to!be
marrying!Jenna.

This!past!weekend!at!Sausalito!Presbyterian!Church!we!remembered!Joan!Casey!and!John
Watts,!a!loving!couple,!as!we!looked!back!to!their!1990!church!wedding!performed!by!George
McLaird.!The!picture!shows!the!red!carpet,!and!drapes!that!hid!the!organ!pipes.!We!still!use!the
handcrafted!candelabras!made!by!Walter!Thomson.!The!other!picture!shows!Joan!Casey!and
husband/life!partner!John!Watts!as!SPC!clowning!critters.
!
!
The!look!of!the!church!has!changed!since!this!wedding.!Louise!Forbush!headed!the!Restoration
Committee!in!2001.!New!Australian!Floors!in!Thomson!Hall!followed.!The!much!photographed
Dogwoods!and!majestic!Oak!Tree!are!gone!along!with!the!twisted!Euonymous!whose!skeleton
finally!toppled!in!an!El!Nino!wind!storm.!The!110!year!old!doors!are!now!royal!red!and!the!pipe
organ!was!replaced!with!our!digital!Allen!electric!organ.!Warm!matt!gold!drapes!and!aisle
runner!highlight!the!original!wood!floor.!Most!recently,!!an!elegant!new!sign!was!added!to
welcome!guests!from!around!the!world.
There!have!been!hundreds!of!church!weddings!before!and!since!1990.!!The!most!recent!was
performed!by!Pastor!Paul!Mowry!for!Jennifer,!whose!parents!were!from!the!Netherlands!and
South!Dakota,!and!Mark!from!Northampton,!United!Kingdom.!They!met!by!chance!(what!lucky
stars)!at!Universal!Studios!in!Florida.!It!was!love!at!first!sight.!Their!romance!was!long!distance
for!a!year,!but!they!now!make!their!home!in!Napa.!The!couple!share!four!grown!children!and!a
grand!daughter.!Jennifer!and!Mark!expressed!their!love!for!one!another!in!personal!vows!and
lighting!of!candles.!A!video!will!be!shared!with!family.
