Off-Road Driving Academy
The Off-Road Driving Academy at Nemacolin Woodlands has the only courses in the country constructed
solely to show off its impressive off-road capabilities. You’ll crawl up 22-inch vertical steps, Inch down
rocky descents and power up 60% inclines. And see for yourself why the military chooses these vehicles
for the rigors of every day use. With three instructional courses, and 20 miles of terrain situated on 600
acres with every type of obstacle imaginable-muddy ponds, logs, precarious side slopes, rock crossing,
steep inclines, and vertical ledges –you are sure to have a memorable experience!
Our Off-Road Driving Academy consists of H1
and H2 Hummers and FJ Toyota’s!
Experience “The Rock”, “The Crater” and “The
Trails”.
No experience is necessary!
Toyota Instructional Series- $300/vehicle (4ppl max)

The Off-Road Driving Academy also offers Ride Along experiences. Come take a thrilling ride with a
professional driver behind the controls maximizing the capabilities of the vehicle. Rides last approximately
½ hour and advance reservations are suggested.

Guided Nature Hikes $15.00/person
Experience the flora and fauna as you hike on one of our scenic nature trails. Here at Nemacolin
Woodlands Resort we offer countless miles of trails to choose from. Have one of our trail guides pick the
right one for you!
Looking for a scenic overlook? With transportation provided, experience the beauty of a hike through
Ohiopyle State Park. Bridal veil waterfalls, natural water-slides, 20ft waterfalls and beautiful plant life are
just a few scenes that you will encounter along your way!

Explore our Outdoor Animal Exhibits, The Marina, The Auto Toy Store, The Airplane Hanger, Thames Racers
Museum and countless other attractions here on property by bicycle! Our professional guides will
accompany your group providing answers to all of your questions!
Another great option we provide is a short shuttle ride down the road to Ohiopyle, PA! The Youghiogheny
River Trail (in Ohiopyle State Park) has 27 miles of trail in the park and is part of the Great Allegheny
Passage. This is a flat, smooth surfaced bike path that is perfect for a leisurely cruise on one of our comfort
or mountain bikes. Have a picnic lunch along the bike path near the beautiful Youghiogheny River!

The Equestrian Center
Our world-class Equestrian Center features horses of good nature and are well cared for by our
professional staff.
Scenic Trail rides. $75.00/person. A guide will accompany you throughout these majestic
mountains on trails that George Washington himself rode.
The Shooting Academy
With the help of our National Sporting Clay Association (NSCA) certified male and female instructors,
even first-time shooters are guaranteed to break targets. The course includes over 30 shooting stations;
three European pheasant flush fields, three towers and fun stations and two five-stand pavilions. Shooters
are accompanied by an NSCA certified instructor and travel station to station throughout the all-weather
course along our one-mile cart path. Let me help you choose a Shooting Package that is just right for you

Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing
Experience some of the best fly-fishing in southwestern Pennsylvania. Located in the Laurel Highlands,
there are many different trout waters to choose from! Mountain Laurel, wild flowers, hemlocks, and the
abundance of wildlife only add to the memories of the fly-fishing excursion. Learn about stream
entomology, trout behavior and the great outdoors in general. Beginner or pro, our Orvis Endorsed guides
are ready to help you!

Whitewater Rafting
Enjoy a fully guided whitewater-rafting trip on the Middle, Lower or Upper Youghiogheny River. Paddle
through raging whitewater with your group and splash your way towards a great day! This adventure is in
conjunction with Wilderness Voyageurs, the best whitewater company in the area.
You'll begin your day with a transport into the town of Ohiopyle. You will arrive at Wilderness Voyageurs
Store and this is where you will check in, receive your life jacket & helmet and meet a couple of your River
Guides. From there you'll be transported to the staging area where you'll begin your river trip. Dividing into
groups of 4 - 6 people, you'll climb into your rafts for a quick introduction to river running before hitting the
water. River safety, paddle strokes, boat maneuvering and what to expect on the water will all be
covered. From there you'll head to the river and the fun shall begin!
Deluxe Raft Trip- $150/person
A Deluxe Trip allows your group to take an exclusive rafting trip. This includes a guide in every raft,
hot catered lunch mid-way through your river trip and all rafting equipment.
Shuttle Service- $100/vehicle (14 passengers per vehicle). This provides transportation from the
Chateau lobby to the river and back to the Chateau!
Fallingbrook Miniature Golf $8.00/person.Our beautiful 18-hole miniature golf course is great for children
and adults! Ask how we can organize a Mini Golf Scramble for your group!
Animal Encounter Petting Zoo. $5.00/person. Offered daily at the Wildlife Academy, families and groups
can come up close and personal with many friendly and social animals.
Nursery Experiences $30.00/person
Animals, especially babies, need lots of love and care. This experience allows guests to see just how
much care and even assist with feeding! Animals in the nursery can include potbelly pigs, giant Flemish
rabbits, fennec fox, kinkajou, sloth, baby zebra, miniature donkey, wolf pups, alligators, wallabies,
Patagonian cavies, tortoise, and the Creepy Crawly Critters Corner!
Private Animal Tours $45.00/person
Get a behind-the-scenes look at our animal enclosures throughout the Resort Property. Take a tour with
one of our animal experts to experience a more in-depth look and learning experience.

Wild World of Animals Show $15.00/person. Experience this action packed animal show live! Our trained
animal professionals will showcase the talents of Fennec Fox’s, Hyena’s, Kinkajou’s, Mini Donkey’s,
Wallabies, Crocodiles, Tigers, Lions and Bears……. Ohh my!
Hardy Girls Gymnasium This state of the art Olympic caliber gymnastics training facility is a wonderful
facility to rent out privately or use with other guests. This 8,400ft gymnasium is dedicated to the
progression and development of gymnasts. Use this facility for a great day of fun!
Tennis Play tennis on one of our four lighted Omni-turf tennis courts located behind our Activities Center.
Join our Tennis Pro for a private or group lesson! We also have equipment rentals too! Looking for a
workout? Try our Cardio Tennis.

The Ropes Course $40.00/person. The Ropes Course offers guests the chance to negotiate a mid-air
obstacle course. Guests will explore self-awareness; trust communication, acceptance and support. The
course challenges individuals with 21 elements. Reservations for the ropes course are requested, as dayof availability may be limited. You must be at least 5’4” to participate.
The Climbing Wall $10.00/person. If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, scale our 50ft freestanding
climbing wall with its twelve climbs and three sides- each posing its each posing its own unique
challenge.
Youth Programs Nemacolin Woodlands Resort has created a wide variety of adventurous activities for
kids of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers.
