TRI-CHAMBER LUNCHEON
This September three southeast area chamber’s of commerce are
joining forces to offer their members a spectacular networking
opportunity in the form of a Tri-Chamber Luncheon.
The Tri-Chamber Luncheon is the joint effort of Deer Park Chamber of Commerce, Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and the
South Belt - Ellington Chamber of Commerce. The icing on the
cake will be our guest speaker. Governor Rick Perry will be on
hand to address our members and guests.
The event will take place at the Hilton Houston Hobby Airport located at 8181 Airport Blvd. in Houston on September 17, 2009
beginning at 11:30 a.m. Individual reservations will be available
for $40.00, tables (seating 10) for $400.00 and ‘Lone Star Sponsorships’ (with premium table placement and greater recognition)

The chamber’s 9th Annual Community Golf Tournament will take place on Friday, October 9th at Battleground Golf Course...and
this is one you don’t want to miss!
It’s still not too late to reserve a tee time for your team. Morning tee-times are no longer available, but afternoons are. To make

As reputation dictates, we have lots of fun things in store for you that day. These include the challenge of “The One-Arm Bandit”. So, why not come out and test your golfing skill against the Bandit?
Attention lottery lovers!!! We will also have Scratch-Off cards again with great prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners!
For our non-golfers or those just wanting to participate in the festivities, we also have opportunities via hole sponsorships, door

Isn’t it difficult to believe the kids are back in
school and summer is nearly over? Where did
summer go? There are only 115 (give or take)
days till Christmas! Now that I have your attention.....What an incredible August we had. We
had so much going on that I stand AMAZED at
the incredible teamwork we have had to get us
thru it.
Last month the chamber sponsored yet another
successful Salute to Education. It always gives
us great pleasure to work with the school district
in honoring our area educators whom we entrust
with our most precious commodity, our children.
We have heard nothing but good things about
the luncheon. It took so many of you to make it
the success that it was. Thank you
The chamber is currently in the process of organizing our annual golf tournament...and it’s definitely an event you don’t want to miss! If you
haven’t reserved a spot for your team yet, please
don’t delay. A few openings still remain. This
year’s event will be held at Battleground Golf
Course on Friday, October 9th. For reservations,

Another upcoming event on the chamber calendar is Salute to Industry, honoring our Industry of
the Year, San Jacinto College District. The College is honoring and welcoming Brenda Hellyer
as their new chancellor. Brenda has been a pillar of this community for years and I believe that
she is going to do great things at the college.
This event also gives our membership the opportunity to showcase their business through booth
participation. Booths are reserving quickly however, so if you have not penciled “Salute” in on
your calendar (especially for a booth) please do
so immediately!
There are three packages to choose from. For our world
travelers, we are offering a $5000 line of credit at a travel
agency. Golfers will enjoy a California golf/wine country
package for 2 that includes a 2 night stay at Vintners Inn
and a tour of a vineyard. It also includes a 2 night stay and
2 rounds of golf at Pebble Beach. If a shopping spree is
more to your taste, the chamber is also offering a $5000 gift
card “good” at ANY retail merchant.
We will begin shortly to plan our 2010 Annual
Banquet. Mark your calendars for January 15,
2010. If you've ever been to one of our banquets, you know we always do it up right and this
one will be no exception. Believe me...you won't
want to miss this! Because remember...we're
going to have fun!
The winning ticket will be drawn at the conclusion of our
Golf Tournament on Friday, October 9...AND, keep in mind,
you need not be present to win!
