Career Services is working to develop a Handbook – by
program – to include Career Road Maps, Job Titles and
Descriptions, Portfolio Checklists, Interviewing Do’s and
Don’ts and much more. We hope this will be a valuable
tool. We will also be transitioning from OptimalResume
to NaceLink (where we can actually text you job
leads!). We will be in classes to walk you through the
transition process.

*Last quarter’s edition of the newsletter incorrectly listed the Honor
Roll as the Q4 Honor Roll. In fact, the list from last quarter’s edition
was the Q3 Honor Roll. This edition includes the Q4 Honor Roll.
@stratfordga
We know most of you use
Facebook, and hopefully you’re
following Stratford University, but
if you’re not using Instagram yet,
we recommend you try! It’s fun,
it’s free (it’s a free app), and it’s
much easier to see photos and
stay informed about activities on
YOUR campus.
If your instructor is okay with it,
take photos of your class projects,
put them on Instagram, and tag
yourself @stratfordga. We
promise to follow you back.
After months of preparation, Stratford’s third annual Food & Culture Festival went off without a hitch on Saturday,
October 5th. We commend and appreciate all students and alumni who participated—either in the team cooking
competitions, creating a cultural booth in class, or volunteering at the event. Over 700 people attended, making it
the most successful Festival yet! We know our students want to be part of a school that has presence in the
community—and Stratford took great strides toward showing all we have to offer.
Watch the
recap here
Team Vietnam, winners of the Team Cooking
Competition, from left to right: Taylor Herbert,
Thuy Bui, Akeem Wilkins, and Robyn Comer. >
“Personally speaking, I think I’m very competitive,
and I don’t want to be behind anybody. Plus the
teachers we have are very encouraging, and they
always endeavor to ensure that we work hard so
that we make an A.” - Sid Rokkam, MSIS
“From my perspective, if
you want to get good
grades, if you’re going to
do something, do it. Put
everything you can into it.”
- Josephine Ruslander, AAS
Medical Assisting
You’ve heard all about the importance of networking.
Networking starts with your inner-circle of friends,
family, and fellow students. It’s all about giving your
time, knowledge, and even your friendship, to build a
mutually beneficial relationship.
Stratford is offering a unique opportunity for you to
expand your network. We are looking for American
students that are interested in building relationships
with students from other countries. We would like to
invite both Domestic and International students to
apply to our new Student Mentor Program. We will be
pairing up students in an endeavor to promote a
cultural learning opportunity. Interested? Please
contact Sarah Dunford at [email protected] if
you are interested.
Richa Ramrakhyani
International Student/IT Coordinator
Richa graduated from Stratford University in October of this
year with her Masters of Information Systems degree. She
has lived in the Richmond area for about a year and a
half with her husband Rajesh.
Richa will have a dual-focus in international admissions and
IT support. Congratulations Richa!
