Since that deadline is approaching fast, there are several issues that need to be called to your attention…(One), If you have not signed up to display your artwork in the Group KVAL tent then you need to do that ASAP. You can contact Chris Myroth and/or signup at the May KVAL meeting…(Two), if you do signup to display your artwork in the group tent then you should also signup for a 1-2 hour segment of time to work in the tent sometime during the two day show. Again, you can signup at the next KVAL meeting or contact Chris Myroth…(Three) we also need workers throughout the show to help keep the show running smoothly. Workers are needed to assist in the “Art of Giving” tent to help sell raffle tickets, setup and take down signs, setup and take down tents, direct traffic, monitor vendor parking, set-out trash cans and pickup trash, assist vendors, distribute directories, and general clean-up…(Four), If you have not thought about donating a piece of artwork to the “Art of Giving” raffle, please think about doing so. This is our annual chance to raise money for KVAL’s Philanthropy project. Remember this is where we give back to the community. We award cash prizes and/or art materials to area art students and community organizations. This is project helps fulfill our major purpose “to promote all art media within our community”. So, please donate an artwork item to the “Art of Giving” raffle at the Northern Illinois Arts and Crafts Show (NIACS). Hope everyone will help in some form or another to make the NIACS a success. The profits from this show help fund all KVAL activities throughout the remaining year. It pays for is our guest speakers, office supplies, printing, postage, refreshment supplies, workshops/plein-aire sessions, and advertising. So, signup and show your support for this annual project. Your Board of Directors work their fannies off for this show, but they cannot do everything! They need your support and cooperation…signup to help at the show!
