Lights from the red carpet and an entrance fit for Hollywood. Appearances may not be
everything, but it certainly has its importance,
especially talking about women’s prêt-à-porter:
the doors of MIPAP will open on a new, electrifying edition and the exhibition is preparing to
welcome old friends and new faces among exhibitors and visitors. The stands are becoming increasingly minimalist, with raw iron structures
designed to highlight the collections, while the
suspended lights along beams create a guaranteed dramatic effect.
A recognised name on the Italian market as well
as on the international scene, MIPAP never ceases to surprise and renew itself. Like never before, it has been confirmed a format that can
become a source of inspiration for its style
around the world, thanks to a careful selection
of the participating brands and a strategy shaped on a single language: business. Many innovative proposals can be selected exclusively at

As one great success has just ended,
another one is ready to emerge. MIPAP
opens the doors to a new season, designed
for women’s prêt-à-porter fashion, on the
wake of the more than positive results reported in February 2015. MIPAP hosted a
total of 4,065 buyers, 22% of which from
foreign countries such as Spain, Great Britain, Switzerland, the US, Canada, Saudi
Arabia, South Korea, China and Japan. Visitor numbers increased by 8% over the last
edition, which shows the positioning of the
exhibition, for a result that is perfectly in
line with the trends of the exhibitions that
opened in 2015 and which laid the foundation for a year brimming in success.

But high quality standards of the products displayed are not always enough. MIPAP understands that well. In addition to carefully selecting
its exhibitors, MIPAP has confirmed its partnership with JWF – IFF, International Fashion Fair,
which includes the presence of Italian companies from MIPAP in the Terroir section of JFW
in Tokyo, open to foreign companies, and numerous Japanese organisations in Milan.
ICE-ITA (Italian Trade Agency) has also made a
key contribution, thanks to which buyers from
markets such as Saudi Arabia, Austria, Bahrein,
South Korea, France, Germany, Japan, England,
the Netherlands, Russia and the US have participated.
Targeted and efficient, the close partnerships
MIPAP has established have given the perfect
visibility to the companies at the show, in a
project designed closer and closer to the needs
of B2B.
