Congratulations and the very best of luck to our newly elected Lady President Madge, Vice-Captain Margaret and together with our

A Note from Lady President Madge Smyth
It is an exciting time to be Lady President of this great Club and with ongoing changes
to the links itself, confirming it as one of the finest in Ireland. I shall take every opportunity
throughout the year to promote it as such.
An unique pairing: Caroline Bradshaw representing
her husband Captain Aidan with her mother Ann

Mats
From the 1st December 2015 mats will be in use.
This is to prevent the links from getting a lot of
damage over the Winter months. By using mats this
will give the par 3s and the fairway a rest which will
mean at the start of next season they should be in
good condition and the appearance of the links will
be better to start the season off once we see grass
growth return.. Using mats will also improve your lie
over the winter months. Mats must be used on all
Par 3s and fairways but you can play as it lies in the
semi and deep rough. Please also use mats on the
drop zones unless you’re using a putter.
Ground under repair and drop zones
With all the new course improvements going on at present you will see a lot of
drop zones. Golfers must drop their golf ball out of the GURs. If there is a drop
zone provided please use it and if there is not a drop zone provided please drop
outside the GUR at the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole. The
Greenkeeping team are working hard to get these areas ready for play.
