Sinton High School's Project Prepare team (Community Problem Solvers) have
made strides in their goal of preparing Sinton's residents so that they remain
safe from natural disasters. They have distributed emergency preparedness
kits to every 5th grader at Sinton Elementary School, created an evacuation
plan for use during inclement weather for Pirate Stadium and Baseball/Softball
fields, held a document scanning drive with complementary flash drives for the
community, and created an electronic presentation with information about
how families can plan ahead in case of a disaster. They have also given presentations to different community groups, such as the Chamber of Commerce,
the Local Emergency Planning Committee Corporation, and the Sinton Rotary
Club, as well as the Sinton ISD Board of Trustees. Project Prepare is planning
many other events in the coming weeks. Follow Project Prepare on Facebook,
Instagram, and Twitter for updates and tips on how to stay safe. Team members are Kendall Allen, Jordyn Burnell, Rylee Kay, Madeline Nieto, Madi
Schaeffer, and Eliza Thomas.

New Fitness Website
Sinton ISD now has a new website! This website is dedicated to promoting Sinton High School’s road to
fitness. Our very own SHS students and staff created the Pirate Fitness Link, in the hopes of encouraging friends/classmates,
teachers, and community members to get moving and make better choices when it comes to good health. A regular fitness routine helps improve your overall health. The positive effects become very evident when you invest time in exercising and make
healthy food choices. Who doesn’t need a boost in the energy department? Feel the difference after an energizing work out or by
starting your day with a delicious healthy breakfast. Sure beats feeling tired and sluggish the entire day. We hope everyone will
get energized and take on the Pirate Fitness Challenge! Visit the website at:

Parent Involvement Conference
Below: Keynote speaker, Mychal Wynn speaking at the
Robstown conference. Mr. Wynn is a parent, educator,
