Chamber Presents 9th Annual Progress Awards
This year’s recipients created 21 new jobs and invested over $500,000 in
Wapakoneta. Congratulations and thank you for your commitment to Wapakoneta.
The recipients are:
AUGLAIZE EMBROIDARY: Expanded the building an additional 1380 sq. ft. Increased
full-time employment from two to five. Purchased an automatic silk screen machine
which results in a higher rate of production and improved quality in a shorter period of
time. This state of the art machine also enables printing designs with up to eight colors.

Welcome, Lindsay
Lindsay Zielonka has been hired as
the Chamber’s new Administrative
Assistant. She began her duties Feb 4.
Lindsay is a graduate of Wapakoneta
High School and Eastern Michigan
University. Her majors were economics
and history. Recently, Lindsay is also
working at the Wapak Y as an aerobics
instructor and wellness coach.

BRUMBAUGH & CLARK LAW LLC: The firm has added a full-time legal partner. Also hired a full-time office
manager as well as four new employees. Office technology was upgraded with the installation of new phones,
computers and scanning equipment. Revenue and clientele has more than doubled over the past year. Owner

CLOUSTUDIO: Officially opened in Wapakoneta as a home based business in 2011. Moved to a newly
renovated studio in September, 2012 with an investment of over $40,000 in computer, photography, and office
equipment. During this past year they have doubled their wedding photography dates (25) and handled nearly
250 other photography sessions. Employment has increased with the hiring of a wedding assistant, a second
photographer, and part-time studio support. Bookings for 2013/14 already exceed the 2012 level. Owners

HARROD INSURANCE SERVICES: Recently purchased and remodeled the office building behind Fifth Third
Bank on Bellefontaine St. The new location allowed for the employment of four additional staff members.
The new office provides 3100 sq. ft. in a convenient location to provide the best service and product available
and has already resulted in an increased customer base. The office has expanded to provide for the relocation
of a Financial Representative to their facility. Owners Jeff and Barb Harrod.
STEINKE FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC: Opened in mid-June of 2012 at their new office on N. Dixie Highway.
Since opening two additional employees have been added for office support and marketing. Their patient base
has grown to over 400 and they see an average of 380 patient visits per week. The office operation is lean &
green being completely paperless. The practice is one of the fastest growing chiropractic offices in the United
States. Owners Dr. Joshua and Randee Steinke.
UNITED WAY OF AUGLAIZE COUNTY: In January of 2012 the United Way of Auglaize County surpassed
their fundraising goal for the first time since 1998. Their total campaign surpassed the $300,000 mark
allowing the 25 partner agencies to serve over 25,000 individuals throughout Auglaize County. Executive

WAPAKONETA MANOR: During 2012 the Manor expanded its rehab and dementia/memory support units.
With these renovations, it has been able to expand the services offered to memory impaired residents to
include a spa, outdoor courtyard, and a central dining and activity center. The rehab unit was expanded to
offer a higher level of assists with a kitchenette, laundry and bathroom to increase the residents functioning to
its highest level for their return to their home. In total expenditures for these renovations was close to
