Josh Hines has been hired by the Board of Directors to replace
retiring Executive Director Dan Graf. Josh was hired as the
Assistant Director in July when Dan discussed with the board his
intention to retire at the end of the year. Josh has been working
with Dan since then to become familiar with the chamber
operations.
Josh is no stranger to the Chamber or the community. Prior to
joining the Chamber he was the General Manager of a local hotel for the past 11 years
and had been a Chamber Board Member since 2004. Josh chaired the Tourism
Committee for several years and helped oversee the annual Halloween Parade. He was
the Chamber President in 2008 and was the Summer Moon Festival chair in 2009.
Josh has also serves on the board of the Auglaize and Mercer Counties Convention and
Visitors Bureau since 2004 and was its President in 2009. In 2010, he received their
Ambassador Award, given to an individual who has worked to promote the area and
further the CVB's mission to increase tourism. He is an active member of the
Wapakoneta Rotary Club, serving as its President in 2012/2013 and is a member of the
Armstrong Air & Space Museum board of directors.
Josh is originally from Celina, spent the last 5 years living in Marysville and just recently
moved to Wapakoneta. He is married to his wife, Sara and has two young daughters,
Emme and Lucy. Josh is looking forward to his new role as Director, growing and
strengthening the Chamber many programs and events and introducing new ideas to
increase membership value.

Election of Directors
Two new Directors will be elected to the
Chamber Board. Josh Steinke and Stephanie Shutt
will be leaving the Board, both after serving two
terms.
Standing for election are Barb
Utrup and Tyler Copeland. Barb
works for Game Face Ohio, a
television production company and
cable channel operator. They film
and broadcast many local and
regional sporting events, the
Halloween Parade, Summer Moon Festival and
Pageant and many other local events. Barb has
also chair the Weiner Dog Races and has helped
officiate the Bed Races. In addition to working for
Game Face Ohio, Barb works for Specialized
Alternatives for Families & Youth in human
resources.
Tyler works for Koenig
Insurance Agency as an Insurance
Advisor. He is a graduate of
Wapakoneta High School and The
Ohio State University. He is an
active member of the Wapakoneta
Breakfast Optimist and the American
Legion Post 330.
Appointed Members being elected to their
first term are: Judy DuBois of Auglaize
Embroidery, Josh Schoolcraft of CJ’s Pizza and
Josiah Osborn of Wapakoneta Manor. Running
for re-election to his second term is Jeff
Brumbaugh of Brumbaugh Law Office.
Successful Halloween Parade
The 2013 Halloween Parade was a huge success.
117 clubs, organizations, civic groups and businesses
participated making this year one of the largest
parades ever. The KAPOW Club’s Costume Contest
held prior to the parade drew a large number of
contestants. The parade video was produced by Game
Face Ohio and sponsored by TSC.
Chamber members should be proud of how well
the community and your fellow Chamber members
responded to the parade by either participating in the
parade or watching. This truly makes the Chamber’s
Halloween Parade northwest Ohio’s premier fun
event of the Halloween season!
