Unilever modernised and expanded cold store and logistics facility in Veszprém with 2,2 billion HUF investments handed over in May 2012. Thanks to the larger capacity in the ice cream manufacturing 65 new jobs has been created. The project received financial incentives from the Hungarian government’s New Széchenyi Plan Program. Technical service provider Imtech N.V. acquired the Hungarian subsidiary of YIT, which employs around 50 specialists. The Hungarian subsidiary is specialized in mechanical and electrical services, including energy and energy savings, fire safety and building automation. Knaus Tabbert – owned by Dutch HTC – caravan producer will double its manufacturing capacity by 0,9 million EUR investment in 2012. The company employs 300 people in Nagyoroszi (Nógrád county). ProfiPower and Randstad joined forces and thus will create the largest recruitment firm in Hungary effective in 2011. Clients benefit from a broader portfolio ranging from staffing, search and selection, HR solutions and executive search. DBH Investment Venture Capital Fund (belongs to DBH Group, a Dutch-Hungarian real estate, investment and business services company) thanks to „Jeremi” venture capital program invested a combined HUF 1,3 bn in 4 technology SMEs. Kurstjens BV has completed the construction of a HUF 2.5 billion biogas plant in Várda (Somogy county) in July 2011. The plant uses sewage sludge, manure and different food (catering) and green waste to generate electricity. The plant is to start with a 60-strong staff and is expected to boost its headcount to 100-120 people later. Atlantic Steigerbouw scaffolding company in Rotterdam established subsidiary in Budapest and will expand its activity from Hungary in the CEE region. Number of employed people may reached 30 heads. Korean Hanaro established in May 2011 an electronic device service centre in WestLog Industrial Park with 15 workers.
