Computerised Vocational Education at Amrita Vidyalayam Schools
One of the limitation of Indian education system is that
it does not give due importance to vocational education. As a result there is a mismatch between the skilled
manpower required and skilled manpower available.
Every year, various colleges turn out millions of graduates who do not have the specific skills sets required
by the market. This has resulted in the huge shortage
of skilled workers. To rectify this situation, Vocational
program need to be promoted in a big way. Given the
urgent need for accessible and standardized vocational education in India, AMMACHI Labs in collaboration
with Amrita Vidyalayam schools provides an innovative
solution through MYSANGHAM portal. MySangham is
an online portal created by AMMACHI Labs that aims at making skill based education and employment accessible to low income rural communities. Through computerized vocational education training, MySangham
leverages technology to deliver education to the masses in India and elsewhere. Individuals using the portal
become empowered Personally and Socially with knowledge and the opportunity to earn a livelihood in a field
of their choice.
