Communiqué n°7: 23/09/2015
Jerez: Renewed hostilities
As they were impatients our Superstock riders to be on the paddock after three months of summer break.
Matthieu Lussiana took opportunity to go and win both races in Brazil and Pedro imitated by offering a win at
GP Gaucho Motovelocidade on Guaporé track.
It starts badly for Matthieu who rides only three laps in first session due to a breakage of his rear shock absorber.
It!s replaced by this of bike spare .But, after session, it was decided to change spring because it wasn!t the good one for
this track. Remember that we have no reference of previous year with this new bike..
Next day, we must find right settings but 30mn of session isn!t enough and Matthieu realized only the 18th position for
qualification..
«"I had no problem for stability in fast corners but only during braking before slower corners.
Back of bike slid a lot and I spent the session trying to find a way to stabilize my bike by changing position, braking
earlier, more gradually but that didn!t change much. During warm up, we also remove motor brake which has only
partially erase the problem.
In race, I tried to follow riding rythm and it worked a few laps but I had to wait my bike stops sweep back before taking
corners which made me lose a second by lap. I'm really disappointed with this 16th position because it is far from my
objective.
I can!t have opportunity to have tests in Magny Cours because I have my 6th race of Brazilian Championship.Too bad
because we could have solved this problem before the finale of 4 October. "
Not easy to get a good place in first few corners !!!
Matthieu ‘s little
advices...
Best result for Pedro Sampaio who managed to finish 22th of 34 riders at Jerez.
He further progress in this end of season by reducing gap from the Top 15.
Pedro already effective in the morning will make his best time in the second session
with a chrono of 1'48''904 with 20th position and which portends a good qualifying.
Unfortunately, while he was ahead of this time, he crashed which prevents him to
improve and gain a few places on grid.
"This small crash wasn!t serious either for myself or for bike but suddenly I lost a little confidence with braking for
qualification.
In race, I felt good and I managed to get close to riders in front of me but in last laps I felt pain in my arm and I lost more
than 2 seconds a lap.
I think I could have finished in 20th position without this problem. I will have to resolve it this winter (probably the famous
rider!s syndrome ...).
I hope again as well or better for the last race of the championship at Magny Cours especially because I'll make a day of
testing on this track. "
Beaautiful style in beautiful leather ...
Rendez vous on october 4th on our country in Magny Cours
