Women's Cancer Support Group
Meetings will be every 2nd & 4th
Tuesday of each month.
4-6 pm ( JPII, 2nd Fl )
Cancer affects a person physically, emotionally, psychologically, mentally,
spiritually, and socially. Many times it is difficult to share one’s feelings with
family members or friends. This group provides an opportunity to share your
feelings and experiences with others in a caring and safe environment. By
your sharing and supporting one another it will help give you the courage to
cope with your journey regardless of what type of cancer you have.
Judy Nelson, 909-880-4389 Contact/Facilitator
“I refuse to walk in the shadow of cancer and look forward to my future with
hope, endurance, love, and laughter.”

Marriage Moments:
: "That
they may be one, as we are one." (John
17:22) Although you and your beloved are
united in spirit there still may be many
things you disagree on. The crucial thing
is not that you are 100% alike, but that you
find ways to manage your differences.
What's a difference that you've compromised on? What have you
agreed to do your spouse's way?

Revelation 22:12-14, 16, 20
At sinabi ni Juan, “Makinig kayo! Darating na
ako! Dala ko ang mga gantimpalang ibibigay
sa bawat isa ayon sa kanyang ginawa. Ako
ang Alpha at ang Omega, ang una at ang
huli, ang simula at ang wakas.” Mapapalad
(I, John, heard a voice saying to me: :Behold, I am coming soon. I bring with
me the recompense I will give to each according to his deeds. I am the Alpha
and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” Blessed
are they who wash their robes so as to have the right to the tree of life and
enter the city through its gates. “I, Jesus sent my angel to give this testimony
for the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, the bright morning
star.” The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon”.
Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!.)

Heaven On Earth…..
Come spend some time in the quiet presence of our Lord.
Bask in the warmth of His love.
"It has been said, and rightly so, that between contemplation and
adoration there is so close a union, so mutual a relationship, that they
cannot be separated. We adore while contemplating and we contemplate while adoring. The saints in heaven live in perpetual adoration,
because their joy is derived from eternal contemplation. On earth,
where in some manner we must imitate the life of heaven, Christian
devotion has striven to make the Sacred Host the center of perpetual
contemplation and adoration, as far as human frailty permits. And both
adoration and contemplation have called for perpetual exposition of
the Blessed Sacrament.
"The Sacred Host perpetually exposed on its Eucharistic throne, and,
before it, day and night, loving souls in adoration and contemplation!
Is this not truly heaven on earth?,"
- from "The Holy Eucharist" by Jose Guadalupe Trevino

RCIA - RITE Of CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS
Is God calling you to become Catholic?
It begins with an awareness...or stirring in one’s heart for something
more. It could be a curiosity or a sense of long for fulfillment. Maybe
it’s God calling you to explore the life of faith, love, and justice within
the community of the Catholic Church.
The RCIA process offers an opportunity for you to learn and ask questions about the Catholic faith. It is primarily for the un-baptized, but
also includes a special tract for those baptized in another faith tradition. We also invite inquiring Catholics to also come and join us for
refreshers on what they learned as children. We meet all year round.
Please come and join us Tuesday evenings from 7:30PM to
9:30PM in the Parish Library. For more information on the process, please
call Danny or Vicki Centurioni at 909-987-7971
RCIA - Teaching Moments:
What is meant by an
“Examination of Conscience” ?
It is a prayerful self reflection on our words and
deeds in the light of the Gospel to determine
how we may have sinned against God. The
Catechism of the Catholic Church paragraph
# 1454 says: “The reception of the Sacrament
of Reconciliation ought to be prepared for by an
examination of conscience made in the light of the Word of God. The passages best
suited to this can be found in the Ten Commandments, the moral catechesis of the
Gospels and the apostolic Letters, such as the Sermon on the Mount and the apostolic
teachings.” See The Gospel of Matthew chapters 5, 6 and 7 to provide you with a
guide for this process. You can also go to St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans chapters
12, 13, 14 and 15 for additional guidance.
The Sacrament of the Sick is a Sacrament offered by the Church for healing in sickness. This sickness may be physical, mental or emotional. Anyone of any age can
receive the Sacrament as often as needed, but not usually not less than a 3 month
period. Unfortunately, many still refer to this Sacrament as the “Last Rites” and often
call the parish for a priest when an individual is critical and close to end of life. The
Church has not used the term “Last Rites” since the Vatican II Council; asking the
faithful to call for a priest when in the need of Healing. One of the realities of the
Church today is a priest shortage. If a call is made to the Church for the Sacrament,
when someone is close to the end of life, there might not be enough time for a priest to
reach the person prior to them passing away, or a priest might not be available, at that
important moment. Only a priest can offer the Sacrament of the Sick. A Deacon is not
permitted to administer the rite of this Sacrament because it includes the Sacrament of
Reconciliation. The Church will do everything possible, in case of an emergency.
However, it may be difficult if it is “last minute”. May this be a reminder to take advantage of the healing Sacraments of the Church ~ For Sacrament of the Sick …

The Baptism Ministry
Our parish community extends a
warm and loving welcome to all who
wish to prepare for the celebration of
the Sacrament of Baptism. We are a
welcoming community of believers
eager to share our faith and embrace
new people. As parents prepare for the Baptism of their children, our
Baptism Ministry offers love and support throughout the entire process.
The Sacrament of Baptism is offered in both
English and Spanish.

(RCIA) Adapted for Children and Teens
Children (ages 7-12) and Teens (ages 13-17) who are
interested in joining the Catholic Church are invited to
participate in the RCIA adapted for Children and
Teens. The goal is to provide a means of conversion
suited to the student’s age and understanding, and to
prepare them for the reception of the Sacraments of
Christian Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation). Parents and sponsors share a loving journey with the student’s by attending sessions with them
and assisting them as they learn about Jesus and the Church, and ensuring
that they experience a Catholic environment in the home. To participate more
fully in this journey, we encouraged you to attend scheduled retreats, weekly

The Ascension of the Lord
Catholic Faith-Based Grief Support Group
Christ reminds us in the Sermon on the Mount:
“Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4)
Losing a loved one is perhaps the most painful and overwhelming of life's experiences. It challenges you physically and emotionally and raises questions about
the future -- about where God is in the midst of your pain. Our Heavenly Father
wants us to find consolation in His loving arms. You don’t have to walk this
journey alone, there is hope. With the encouragement of our Grief Support
Group, you will begin to form an understanding and healing of many emotions.
Join us as we search for God’s Healing Love and Comfort, as you share with
others, who have experienced loss and loneliness.
We meet each Wednesday, 7-9 pm (JPII, 2nd Fl)
Contact: Andrea Woore, Grief Facilitator at 909-261-3487 or
Debby Leonardo, Pastoral Care at 909-987-9312 Ext 302 for more information
Please join us!!
Are you interested in sharing your
God-given talent with others?
We meet
every Mon. 10am - Noon (JPII, 2nd Fl)
This ministry creates shawls and lap blankets for those suffering from illness
and would appreciate any donations of skeins of yarn and/or medium
size gift bags for presenting the shawls and lap blankets to the recipients. There are blessings of fellowship, sharing creative ideas, prayerful
encouragement, and refreshments. If you would like to contact the Prayer
Shawl Ministry, please call Anne Napolitano at 909-935-9080. Please
bring your donations to Debby Leonardo, Pastoral Care, in the Parish Office.
Thank you and May God Bless you for your support….
Military Photo Update If you have a family member actively serving our
country and would like their picture included in the Military Frame of our
Soldiers honoring our Men and Women for their service; please bring a
photo of your Soldier to the Parish Office and fill out the Military Personnel Information Form. The Military information consists of their rank,
stationed location, branch of service, address of soldier, along with Parish family contact. These photos provide the community with recognition of those parishioners and
family members serving in the military. Many of our parishioners will keep the names
and faces in their hearts and prayers, along with all of our Military Men and Women
serving our country. Please contact Debby Leonardo for more information at 909987-9312

Lectio - eucharist
Jesus said “This is my Body” and “This is my Blood.” Some say
they’re merely symbols of remembrance. Others say they’re really the
Body and Blood of Christ, but can’t explain how that’s possible. The
Eucharist is the center-point of the Mass – but why?
The answers are here. Renowned teacher Dr. Brant Pitre guides us
through Scripture, history, and Church teaching to illuminate the wonder and miracle of the Eucharist. With deep insight, Dr. Pitre gives a
fresh perspective for understanding the mystery that is the Eucharist.
The episodes were filmed at the studios of the Augustine Institute in
Denver, Colorado.
Materials fee per participant/couple sharing is $25, which includes a
thorough study guide.

The practice of a jubilee year has ancient
roots in the Jewish tradition and evidence for it can be found in the Old
Testament (for example, see Leviticus
25). The jubilee year was called every
fifty years and was a time for forgiveness. It stood as a reminder of God's
providence and mercy. The dedication
of a year for this emphasis provided the
community with a time to come back into
right relationship with one another and
with God. As the practice of the jubilee
year was adopted into the Catholic Church, these themes of mercy, forgiveness, and solidarity continued.
One of the central components of the Jubilee of
Mercy is that the Holy Doors throughout the
world will be opened during this Jubilee
year. When they are opened at the beginning
of the year, "the Holy Door will become a Door
of Mercy through which anyone who enters will
experience the love of God who consoles, pardons, and instils hope". Since each diocese will
have the opportunity to open a Door of Mercy in their diocese, all members of
the faithful will have opportunity to make a pilgrimage to their local Holy Door
during the Jubilee. This pilgrimage is to be a journey of walking closer with
God and discovering "moment[s] of grace and spiritual renewal". These doors
are symbols of God's mercy, open to welcome everyone into the compassion
of God's love that Christ proclaimed.
