CONGRATULATIONS on your purchase of a Tippmann Embosser
hand powered embossing, creasing and cutting machine. The
Tippmann Embosser will give many years of dependable service if
cared for properly. Take time to read through this manual thoroughly

machine under any circumstances.
All information in this manual is subject to change without notice

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Tippmann Embosser is a hand operated embossing, creasing and cutting machine. The Tippmann Embosser is designed
and built to achieve precision quality embossing, creasing and
cutting of leather. Tippmann Industrial Products, Inc. has designed the Embosser for extreme durability of the machine itself
and maximum owner satisfaction for many years.

SAFETY IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!
The ownership of this machine places upon you the total responsibility of
its safe operation. You must observe the same safety precautions as
you would any piece of equipment to assure the safety of not only
yourself but everyone around you.
Outlined here are some general precautions to be aware of:
• The operator should at all times use common sense when
using this machine and be sure others who may operate are
also familiarized, responsible and safety conscious.
• Do not attempt to operate this machine until you have read and
are familiar with this manual.
• Do not attempt to operate this machine until it is securely
positioned on a sturdy work surface.
• Do not operate this machine in any position except positioned
securely on a sturdy work surface.
• Do not operate this machine when parts have been removed as
damage to the machine and/or injury to operator may result.
• Keep hands clear of cutting wheel area at all times and make sure
safety guard is properly installed when cutting.

SETUP AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Carefully remove the Tippmann Embosser from the shipping container. The
"Embosser" weighs approximately 30 pounds and care should be taken to
have sufficient help available when moving either to prevent personal injury or damage to the equipment.
The Embosser should be securely bolted on a sturdy workbench capable
of supporting its weight and the activities associated with its operation.
The Tippmann Embosser need very little maintenance. Keep machine clean
and moving parts free from debris. Keep gears, shaft collars and where
bottom shaft rests on pressure block oiled.

Setup Machine For Embossing:
Setup for embossing.
First setup the embosser with desired 1 1/2” embossing roll and parts
shown on the Setup For Embossing
illustration on page 6).
Position and secure Material Guides
to feed material so that embossed
area appears on material positioned
where you want.
Determine Desired
Embossing Depth:
To determine the proper depth
adjustment wheel setting to
achieve the embossing depth
you want, test different settings
on a scrap piece of material
similar in thickness to your final
material.
To adjust depth of embossed area:
• Turn the wheel counterclockwise to gain more depth in embossment.
• Turn the wheel clockwise to get less depth in embossment.
To Emboss: Carefully align material between guides and feed material
into machine as you turn handle of machine.
To Blank Emboss:
(If you want a no embossed area or need to skip over rivets, etc)
• First Make a reference note to wheel setting depth at pointer (so you
can return to exact depth after you have made your blank emboss).
• Next turn adjustment wheel clockwise (approximately two turns and
make a note referencing the Dial Pointer so you can return to this depth
setting after you have made your blank embossed area) until belt is loose
enough to slide past desired blank area to the point you wish to begin
embossing again.
• Make sure material in proper position and turn adjustment wheel
counterclockwise (turn same amount of turns as in last step until you
reach the correct Adjustment Wheel to Dial Pointer position. You are
now ready to resume embossing.
To Edge Emboss:
Remove outside material guide.

Setup machine For Creasing:
First setup the embosser with desired
creasing roll set and parts as shown
on the Setup For Creasing illustration
on page 6).
Selecting Creasing Depth:
To determine the proper adjustment
wheel setting to achieve desired
creasing depth, test different settings
on a scrap piece of material similar in
thickness to your final material.
To adjust depth of creased area:
• Turn the wheel counterclockwise to
gain more depth in creasing.
• Turn the wheel clockwise to get less

Setup Machine For Cutting:
1. First setup the machine with parts
as shown on the Setup For Cutting
illustration on page 7).
2. Be sure cutting safety guard is
securely installed before proceeding.
3.Next Align Cutting Disk to groove
in Cutting Wheel Nut. Screw grooved
hand nut onto lower shaft and lift to
check fit of blade into groove.
Adjust until it is properly aligned,
secure cutting wheel nut in position
with two set screws. Check for clean
cut with similar size piece of scrap
material.
Setup for

To cut straps...
• Position material against the material guide for straight cuts.
• For wider straps you can remove the outside material guide.
For freestyle cutting...
• Remove outside material guide.

satisfaction in its use. In the event warranty or other non-warranty
related repairs are required, we are here for you. For assistance

WARRANTY STATEMENT
Tippmann Industrial Products, Inc. warrants that this product is found
free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1
year from the original date of purchase by the initial owner/purchaser. On claims submitted as outlined in "WARRANTY OR
REPAIR PROCEDURE" Tippmann Industrial Products, Inc. will
repair or replace, without charge, any parts that have failed through
defect in material or workmanship.

The "BOSS" is a needle-feed, lock-stitch sewing machine designed
and built to achieve precision quality stitching and extreme durability.
Just raise the presser foot with the squeeze grip and insert practically

thick.
