Make a Successful Referral and Receive a Bonus!
This Online Employee Referral Reference Guide provides you with instructions for referring a friend to
UnitedHealth Group. All referrals must be submitted online. To be eligible for the referral bonus, you must
follow every step in the process outlined below.

Getting Started
Go to:

Frontier > HRdirect (from the intranet)
www.unitedhrdirect.com (from the Internet)
From the United HRdirect menu, click Refer a Friend from the left-hand navigation menu.
You may refer a friend for:
• a specific position (see instructions below), or
• general consideration (see instructions on page 5).

1. From the Refer a Friend page, go to the appropriate career opportunities site (North America, Latin /
South America, Europe / Middle East / Africa, or Asia / Pacific.)

2. Log in to Common Logon using your Single Sign-on Access.
3. On the Job Search page, enter the appropriate job search criteria.

4. Click on the Search for Jobs link.
5. Open the job posting.

6. Click on the Refer a Friend link on the right side of the posting.
7. Complete the pages (Your info, Your Referral, Summary) within the progression bar.
8. Once you have reached the “Thank You” page, your referral has been successfully completed and
received.
9. An acknowledgement will be sent to your e-mail inbox thanking you for your referral. Your friend will
receive an e-mail with a link asking them to complete their profile in our system. IMPORTANT:
Following this link is a requirement; it is the only way your friend is connected to your referral.

Instructions for referring a friend for general consideration
1. From the Refer a Friend page, click the North America link.
2. Log in to Common Logon using your Single Sign-on Access.

3. Click on the Submit a friend’s profile link on the right side of the page.
4. Complete the requested information to submit your referral.
5. Once you have reached the “Thank You” page, your referral has been successfully completed and
received.
