Saturday, May 18th
Denver Center of the
Performing Arts Tour
But someday the weather will turn for the better and the real fun will begin.
T
he Club was represented well this past month
in Beaumont, Texas and just like the postman we made it through rain, hail, sleet, snow and
even a tornado that was about 30 miles ahead of
us. Those that took a car got the Gold again. As the
wife told her family ”if you were hearing about it on
the news we were there” close to WACO where the
plant exploded, we watched at another location as
propane tanks were burning alongside the highway
where they blew up and all the other bad weather we
encountered. We got stuck in Hays, Kansas on the
way home because of snow and as Terry says no more
April Car Shows! We’ll see about that. Next year
is the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang and in April
either Charlotte, North Carolina or Las Vegas, Nevada
will be the place to be. Who plans on going? See
you there for sure!

decade to save the world from “global warming”, you
can’t really even charge these old systems anymore.
Well Old Air Products has just the thing for us. In
addition to all the various other packages and kits they
have for 1964-1966 Mustangs, they offer a complete
kit to add fully integrated air-conditioning to your
1967-1968 Mustang that fits and looks like factory air.
Their kits are available in a variety of configurations
depending on the engine and accessories you have
and are easy enough for you to install yourself. Their
Hurricane Unit mounts to firewall in place of your old
factory heater.
TMI Products Sport R
seating for vintage
Mustangs
Pricing for the upholstery sets starts at $366.95
and padding sets that go with them start at $147.95.
So a complete makeover of your interior can be done
quite reasonably, and a number of color options are
available.
The new AC and heater fittings pass neatly through
original blower motor hole with custom rubber grommet. Their modern electronic switching package
includes a replica of the 1967 or 1968 factory HVAC
control bezel complete with air vent louvers.
TMI Products in Corona, CA have without question
become one of the top manufacturers of reproduction
interior products for the restoration of Mustangs.
More information: www.tmiproducts.com/mustang/
new-products/sport-r-seats.html
The electronic control module attaches to bezel and
provides infinitely variable control of A/C, Heater and
Defrost functions, eliminating the spaghetti of vacuum
controls the factory AC used.
Since beginning with factory OE style upholstery
products, they have expanded to offer options for
almost years of Mustangs for both stock OE replacements as well as custom seating and interior trims.
Under the hood, their high performance condenser
assembly provides maximum cooling capacity using
their aluminum Superkool condenser assembly with
factory style drier and mounting brackets. A modern
and less engine taxing Sanden style compressor and
bracket mount to the engine.
For owners of 1964-73 Mustangs, TMI has just
released their new “Sport R” seat upholstery and pad
sets which transform your stock Mustang seats into
well bolstered, modern looking seats.
The new sets which come for all three generations
of classic Mustang offer you a great turn-key approach
if you are building a restomod or custom driver that
needs to be comfortable but still staying true to the
original hardware.
The TMI third generation sport seat sets offer contrast stitching, “UniSuede” inserts which retain the
stock factory patterns for your year, and have significantly increased side bolsters.
Installing the upholstery and padding can be done
on your own stock seat frames, allowing you to go back
to factory stock upholstery down the road. The sets use
all factory attachment points.
The sets are offered for all generations including
high-back styles into the 71-73 years which have seen
an increase in resto-mod popularity in the last few
years.
1967-1968 Mustang Air
Conditioning Kits
Old Air Products has been at the forefront of airconditioning kits for vintage Mustangs for a long time
now. And that’s a good thing because whether your
vintage Mustang came with air-conditioning or not, we
expect it in today’s driving world.
If you happen to have a 1967-1968 Mustang and
ever tried adding factory air-conditioning to a non
AC car you have likely found that rounding up all the
parts to make a complete system is near impossible
any more. And it can be price prohibitive for that last
widget you need to make it all complete.
At the same time if you were lucky enough to have
one with AC, you still know that keeping it working is
no longer feasible on a working man’s budget. Lastly
with the change to R-134A refrigerant in the past
Pricing for complete kits for non factory air-conditioned cars range around $1660 for the 1967-1968
models. If you already have a factory air-conditioned
car and want to upgrade to the modern systems, Old
Air Products also has other packages tailored just for
you.
The packages include:
Hurricane Heat Cool & Defrost Unit
Electronic Control Package
Mounting Bracket & hardware
Replica Factory A/C Control Bezel & Louver Package
Compressor
Compressor Bracket
Compressor Binary Safety Switch
Condenser Assembly w/drier
A/C Hose Kit
System Upgrades Available:
UG-21-CHR Chrome Compressor
UG-21-POL Polished Compressor
UG-24-0103 Trinary Pressure Switch Upgrade

All of the cars will come with a supercharged

at SEMA last fall had a twin-turbo 5.0, production
Cobra Jets get a Ford Racing / Whipple 2.9 liter
supercharger instead.
The Cobra Jet also gets its own serialized number plate as it’s expected these cars will become
collector items some day in the future. MSRP for
the Cobra Jet is $97,990 and it can be ordered at
