Sorry to disappoint, but we’ve had great difficulty in trying to hire a “dunking stool” (there’s definitely a gap in the market for any budding entrepreneurs!) We’re sure Adam will be relieved but it looks like we’re going to have to forget that idea. Don’t worry though, there will be a variety of stalls and, of course, the children’s fancy dress competition which will be judged by Cat Smith M.P. Brian Brodie serenades Irene 4 NEW DOMICILIARY LEAFLETS Here are the draft copies for the front and reverse sides of our new domiciliary leaflets (the old ones are out of date with care staff wearing black uniforms). We haven’t sent them to the printers yet & would welcome any comments/ amendments you might want to share ...so have your say before it’s too late! Many thanks to all our “models” for agreeing to be on the leaflets. RECORDING A MESSAGE Many thanks to everyone who has recorded a message on the Ipad for your loved one in the Care Home. If you don’t live nearby and can’t visit very often, please feel free to record your message(s) on your phone and email them to us at [email protected] NO AUGUST NEWSLETTER Sorry folks, but there won’t be another newsletter until September. I fly off to the US at the end of this month, firstly to Chicago to meet my new grandson (younger son’s boy) who should have arrived & be nearly 3 weeks old by then. It’s then off to Las Vegas where elder son is holding his “stag do” (no, I’m NOT invited!) & a couple of days later, it’s on to San Diego, where his wedding will take place in nearby San Marcos. A few days afterwards we fly back to Chicago for a further week with the new baby before flying home. No doubt I’ll bore you all with loads of pics on my return!
