Where are the “squatchiest” places in America? Skamania County comes in first, located in southwest
Washington state. Its numerous hiking trails and Mt. St. Helens both increase human presence in
the wilderness, perhaps increasing sightings. Second ranked Humboldt County is home to
Redwood Nat’l Park, attracting hikers much like Skamania County. Number 3 contains
the Cascade Mountains and #4 has the Olympics. Tuolumne also
has an influx of tourists with Yosemite Nat’l Park.
Common denominator? High elevation, steep
grades, dense wet forest, or one big
hoax? Find a suitable

2) This image was caught by
a trail camera mounted to
a tree in Western PA in
2007. Bigfooters claim
this to be a juvenile
sasquatch while others
say it is more likely to
be a bear or a hoax.
