[CC] 00:27:09 This morning our going Green coverage, we're just getting going. Especially right now local
4's Art Edwards is live with more on what is coming up. We're in Plymouth right now where we'll have the
first annual Green Street Fair. Vendors are getting set up and exhibitors show us how we can be
environentally friendly. We'll have that story coming up. 00:27:26
[CC] 00:30:33 This morning it is all about going Green. A live look at Downtown Plymouth where a big
event being set up right now. 00:32:09
[CC] 00:32:13 This morning if you're looking to save Green, you might want to try going Green, big event
happening today that could help you out. The Green Street Fair kicks off in half an hour and learn how
fuel efficient your car is to career opportunities. Art in jury room. Good morning, they have everything all
blocked off in Downtown Plymouth and the tents up and everyone getting themselves ready for the first
Green Fair. Huge event going on this weekend and the hope is it will be an event we'll see for many
years to come. She is one of the organizers of this event. Thanks for coming out and meeting with us this
morning. Let's talk about what we have going on. What are people going to see when they come out here
today? They're going to learn to have a softer footprint on the planet. We have garden areas, home
areas, organic clothing, food, Whole Foods is here with 20 of their exhibitors and they're going to be
handing out free samples of different foods. There are automobiles, there is a Green box sitting in the
park and tons of things to do and activities for kids too. When you talk about having a softer footprint what
do you really mean by that. There are things all of us can do to make a different than those and Green
can be fun. A lot of people think it is challenging and don't know, do it. It is as simple as turning your
dishwashers off on the drying cycle or turning your washing machine to cold water versus warm water can
save energy and we can all make a different than those. When you talk about things that you can do, it
means you can save money. Absolutely and the cost of gas prices right now, everyone is looking to save
money. There is a lot of Michigan-based businesses, too, we can help support local businesses that are
not transporting their products from across the world. Appreciate your time. The event will be all day out
here in Plymouth in the Downtown area and getting everything all set up right now so you can get out
here and see al the events going on, music and exhibitors and really get a chance to learn some
interesting things and find out that, as terry said, it is really not all that difficult to do some things that are a
little bit different to go Green. So everything is going be happening out here in Plymouth a little bit later
on today. Art eDwards, local 4. Thank you very much for that. Again if you want to check out the Green
Street Fair, head to Downtown Plymouth. The event runs from 10 to 7 and tomorrow until 10 to 5.

[CC] 00:16:48 This exhibit, look at this. It's the Green City assembled by local students. It's just one of
many on display. 8Th graders built this city. It's jam packed with lessons about protecting our
environment. We have learned how solar panels, heating, how to use the natural land around you. How
we can make the best of our resources, how to not be a sprawling city, but looking at future cities and
looking at conserving space. The exhibit is on display through today at Five o'clock in Downtown
Plymouth. The Green Street Fair is talking about environmental issues 00:18:20
[CC] 00:53:23 So tell me a little bit about what happens for this festivity starting today? Starting today, we
start at noon and run until five. 'Re going to have music and all kinds of wonderful things where you can
purchase snacks and all of that good stuff. Food? Yes, we have a traditional taco truck out there. Oh,
great. So you can pick up whatever you like. We'll have that here. And the parade today will wrap up at
clark park, right? That's right. That also begins at 12, noon. And it runs east and ends up at clark park.
Jason: all right, great. So let's do this, there's lots to see and do here today. We'll continue to do that.
There's also the Green Street Fair going on in Plymouth today. I spent a little time there yesterday to
give you a little more information about that fun event. Take a look. 00:54:13
[CC] 00:54:15 The co-founder is with us. How are you? I'm good. How many times have we done this
already? This is our first event. So you and I have worked before, but this is the first Green Street Event.
Absolutely. Isn't it great when an idea comes together like this? It really is. Let's talk about it. Why should
people come down to Plymouth to see it? Well, everybody has the opportunity to learn a little bit of
everything, whether it's Toyota that's here or gardening or your homes or clothing. Just about anything.
It's an opportunity for people to learn how they can have a softer footprint on the planet. We're taking a
look right now with some of the Streets and people arriving and having a good time. What are the hours
from Sunday? From ten to five. Okay. So come on out to Plymouth and have some fun. As a matter of
fact, in a little while, we're going to see our friends from Bosch and also will have some great organic
cooking when we come back. 00:55:26

[CC] 00:19:35 We've got a busy first weekend in May. Cinco de Mayo is tomorrow. Plymouth is going
Green this weekend. 00:20:41
[CC] 00:20:42 We have the Green Street Fair going on today. If you want to get a little Green in
Plymouth. Look, Bosch clean, diesel power. I have to mention this. I've been test driving this weekend, a
bmw five series that runs on diesel. Absolutely. And it came right over from Germany. 00:21:37
[CC] 00:22:52 If only 30% of Americans drove diesel, we'd save 1. 4 Million-gallons of oil a day. People
want to get more information, you can go onto our website, myfoxDetroit. Com and keep the things Green
and happy. That's what we're all about today. We'll be back. All right. I should mention that today's the
lastay for the Green Street Fair in Plymouth. All of the details are on your screen for extensive
information. There is no better website than myfoxDetroit. com. 00:23:20
[CC] 00:52:56 This is a really great breakfast. This is the chorizo which comes in pork and beef with eggs
and then she's just going to scramble it right in there with the meat. How long before that will be ready?
Probably take about ten minutes for everything to get cooked really well. What's on the other side? The
product is already cooked. Oh, so that's the All Done Version. You know, Whole Foods isn't really an
interview I have to do and ask a lot of questions. I have one by my house and I go to it a lot. When you
think about eating healthy, organic is the way to go. Sometimes it's a little more expensive, but definitely
worth it. You have to shop carefully. Especially when fresh produce is in season. It can be comparablely
priced. With a great event like this going on today and we're thinking about going Green, what is Whole
Foods doing in addition to organic to kind of get that message out? Well, today, we are selling vegetable
wraps, chicken wraps, turkey wraps, we're also making fresh guacamole. You name it, just a variety of
other things. We're sampling them and selling them so people can try them and take them home. You
know, one of the thing that is you guys do that I love over in your deli section, I love that roast turkey...
