A note from Mary Rose
Working as an artist I can find inspiration and ideas everywhere. This
summer on our family vacation, for example, I found myself at cruising
altitude of an airplane staring out the window. The scattered clouds were
fluffy and white against the distant blues of the sky. And there were
beautiful patterns on the earth’s surface, after humans carved out their lives
in the soil. I became lost in the design and depth of the complete image and
I found myself furiously taking notes about new ideas! What inspires you?
Do you notice when something sparks a thought or an idea? Each of us can
look at the same image yet all feel something different. Some of my best
experiences as an artist are when I see how
customers react to a design. Sometimes they are
reminded of personal stories and other times they
are amazed at the tiniest of details in a design. I
treasure these moments, just like the image from
above the clouds, because they inspire me to
create, and that is my happiness. This season I
wish that you find your own unique source of
inspiration and happiness. After all, that’s what
makes each of our lives a work of art!
Do You Sing In The Shower?
Everyday encounters can inspire wonderful thoughts and feelings, but sometimes we
forget to take notice of them. For those times when you need to jump start your
