Schools throughout the greater Portland region are experiencing similar outbreaks. The CDC recommends that schools ask parents to check their child’s hair if you see them scratching their heads or suspect they have head lice. We ask everyone to check their child’s head—whether you think they have lice or not— so that we can prevent more cases on campus. For more information about how to detect and treat head lice, please check the CDC website. Questions? Please call Waynflete’s Health Coordinator, Blanche Belliveau, at 774-5721 ext. 1216.
